Ensured that the Bureau s structure was consistent with the Administration s mission, principles and streamlining objectives and managed the Bureau s budget consistent with agency priorities. Served as an advisor to the Department on the direction of child welfare and childcare services. In the capacity of expert and court-appointed monitor in the LaShawn A. class action suit against the District of Columbia Department of Human Services, assisted in the assessment of the child welfare program, development of the remedial plan, and ongoing monitoring of progress. Provided technical assistance to the states involved in The Casey Foundation Child Welfare Reform Initiative.
