2 REISS-DAVIS CHILD STUDY CENTER & INSTITUTE S TRAINING PROGRAMS The Reiss-Davis Child Study Center s Reiss-Davis Institute for doctoral, postdoctoral and postgraduate studies was established to address the need for highly qualified mental health professionals in Los Angeles, across the country and around the world. Through our doctoral program, students learn to meet the diagnostic and therapeutic needs of a myriad of young people already in crisis. Doctoral students learn to do psychological research and are encouraged to explore evidenced-based projects and studies to further the field of neurobiological, psychodynamic developmental work with children and adolescents. Students also have the opportunity to learn about psychological diagnostic testing assessment of young people to help establish what each young client may need for an appropriate mental, emotional and educational plan of intervention.

4 A 60 YEAR HISTORY OF TRAINING MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS Vista Del Mar s The Reiss-Davis Child Study Center and Institute has had over a half-century of experience training psychologists and other mental health practitioners in the field of child-adolescent mental health through its post-doctoral and post-graduate programs. Reiss-Davis s merger with The Graduate Center for Child Development and Psychotherapy, about 9 years ago, allowed it to expand its training programs to offer a doctoral program leading to a Psy.D. in Clinical Child Psychology. INNOVATIVE PSY.D. PROGRAM Reiss-Davis offers a more streamlined doctoral program, one that is especially designed for the busy clinical social worker, marriage and family therapist, educational therapist and clinical professional counselor already licensed in his or her profession who would like to get a doctoral degree in clinical child psychology from a neuro-psychobio-social psychodynamic perspective.

Program in Clinical Child Psychology with a Psychodynamic Emphasis For Licensed and License Eligible Mental Health Professionals TAILOR-MADE TO FIT INTO YOUR BUSY SCHEDULE To meet the needs of this unique group of professionals, we are offering our 1 Weekend/Month 3 Year Program of courses so that you do not have to cut into your regular private practice/clinical position s weekday and weeknight work schedule or other responsibilities. The courses will be scheduled on Friday nights, all day Saturday and Sunday only one weekend a month. The scheduled courses, their classes and dates can be found on the following pages of this brochure. SPECIALLY PRICED TO MAKE IT EVEN MORE AFFORDABLE We are offering those enrolling in this program a low tuition of about $16,000 for the first year (plus costs and fees), making it possible for many of you to finally be able to afford this quality doctoral level experience.
6 CONVENIENTLY LOCATED AND PLEASANTLY SITUATED This program s classes are offered on a beautiful 17 acre campus that is freeway close, near the intersection of the 10 and the 405 freeways in West Los Angeles, on the grounds of Vista Del Mar in Cheviot Hills, where there is ample free parking while you attend your classes. 10 The Graduate Center for Child Development and Child Psychotherapy is a private, non-profit educational institution of higher learning. It is approved to operate by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education of the State of California 94909(a)(2). Approval to operate means compliance with state standards as set forth in the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009 (Ed. Code). All approved psychology schools that offer PsyDs and PhDs in California are affected by the following new regulations: Notice to Prospective Degree Program Students This institution is approved by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education to offer degree programs. To continue to offer degree programs, this institution must meet the following requirements: Become institutionally accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education, with the scope of the accreditation covering at least one degree program. Achieve accreditation candidacy or pre-accreditation, as defined in regulations, by July 1, 2017 and full accreditation by July 1, If this institution stops pursuing accreditation, it must: Stop all enrollment in its degree programs, and Provide a teach-out to finish the educational program or provide a refund. An institution that fails to comply with accreditation requirements by the required dates shall have its approval to offer degree programs automatically suspended.
