PAST DUE ACCOUNTS A financial hold is placed on an account whenever a payment is past due or when the account has an outstanding balance, regardless of payment arrangements, prior to early registration. The financial hold will prevent new registrations and the issuance of academic transcripts. To release a financial hold, the debt must be paid in full. Payment with collected funds will release the hold upon payment. There is a two-week wait from the date of deposit when payment is by personal check. New registrations will be cancelled for nonpayment of a prior semester debt. An account that has not met payment requirements will be referred for collection. CONSEQUENCES OF AN ACCOUNT IN FULL COLLECTION There will be no adjustment to or petition consideration given to an outstanding balance.
