2 Strength 1,745kN/m2 Flow - 27 l/s/m2 Frost Proof 50% open pore area Pore size 21-28µ system Manufactured from 100% recycled thermoplastics, the products are permanent solutions that do not clog, are easy to install and handle, require little to no maintenance and are high strength and long lasting. Typical applications for include: Golf - Fairways, Bunkers Sports fields Gas lines French drains Equestrian fields Green Roofs Roadways, Driveways Embankments Retaining walls properties: s - HydroPlanks High-void structure allows for a drainage capacity and structural stability greater than stone or pipe. Fast and easy to install, uses advanced capillary action to direct stormwater in any direction, without clogging. Installed vertically or horizontally, no need to connect the HydroPlanks, as water moves from one plank to the next through the material s capillaries. However, when additional stability or continuous surface area of HydroPlanks is required, such as in creating a permeable pavement sub-base or a trafficking surface, simply butt the units up and connect the extreme edges with the U-ClipDuraClips. Simple to install & connect double lateral Main (double) single lateral
3 Made from recycled thermoplastics, s products are permanent solutions that do not clog, are easy to install and handle, require little to no maintenance are high strength and long lasting. Whether you are looking for a more ef cient solution for drainage, water treatment, ground stabilization, retention/detention, or permeable paving, has a solution for you! HydroPlanks are a permanent solution superior to traditional drainage, stabilization, and green infrastructure systems for a wide range of industries. The product s high-void structure allows for a drainage capacity and structural stability greater than stone or pipe. Fast and easy to install. HydroFence is a more efficient alternative to silt or filter socks, boxes, and fences that provides erosion control while meeting the requirement to restrict silts from exiting a working site. Unlike traditional silt socks, HydroFence does not clog, is easier to install and is reusable, thus saving you time and money, and providing the assurance that you are complying with the latest guidelines for silt control. HydroFence is simple to handle and install, yet strong enough to capture debris and accompanying silt from stormwater. HydroBase is a superior subbase that replaces expensive aggregate and dirt substrate under highways, roads and railways. Easy to transport, handle and install, HydroBase promotes efficient road drainage, prevents cracking, and reduces costs associated with recurring maintenance and reclaiming. Due to its porous, highvoid composition, HydroBase material is proven to become stronger with added weight loading and can withstand heavy trafficking. When used as a sub-base beneath railways, rather than compacted dirt, HydroBase moves water away from the tracks to prevent pulsing. Features: Dimensions: 1m long x wide x 48mm thick Weight: 4.9Kg. (approx.) 75% lighter than aggregate Support 178 tonnes/m 2 of compression Drainage capacity of more than 27 2 litres/sec./m Environmentally friendly, made from 100% recycled materials HydroClips - Similar to H-Clips used in the construction industry for paneling and sheathing, HydroClips join HydroPlanks [or HydroBase] together, giving your installation extra structural support and an even load strength. HydroClips Features: Dimensions: 100mm long x 75mm wide x 57mm high Weight: 112g (approx.) Made of flexible plastic with oneway grips HydroClips Applications (if required): Connecting HydroBase beneath roads, highways, and railways Connecting HydroPlanks vertically on hillsides Beneath Permeable Paving Path Edgings Road Surface Sub-soil Filter Box (0.45m x 0.55m x 0.7m tall) is a highly efficient, low maintenance alternative to a traditional de-watering pump. The product s unique properties and drainage capacity of more than 33 litres per second allow water to pass through without clogging whilst retaining silt.
4 French Drain Capping A layer of Hydroblox positioned 100mm below the surface ground level prevents silt build up, stabilises the gravel to prevent rutting. soil 6" wide by 24" deep trench 1" washed gravel fill 4" diameter perforated drain pipe Roadside Drain Filter Cleaning due to silt build up: Lifting the fill, segregation and dry cleaning of the filter material and the return of the graded and cleaned material to the drain it came from. The drain is cleaned down to 600mm and a width of 600mm & disposes of 8-10 tons of spoil and accumulated silt for every 100m of drain. Car Parking Areas There can be thousands of tons of aggregate under any given parking area, HydroPlanks can replace the majority of that aggregate. A highvoid, high-strength and stable drainage product, HydroPlanks are 75% lighter than aggregate and can reduce construction costs associated with material handling and manpower. In parking areas, HydroPlanks are an ideal sub-base under emergency access greenways. Instead of the typical mm of aggregate placed under the soil and grass, it is quicker, easier, and more cost effective to install HydroPlanks. The product is durable enough to withstand emergency vehiclular traffic, while providing an effective means of parking area drainage for water that may otherwise run onto the asphalt. Additionally, grass can grow directly on top of the material, so there is no need for a geotextile layer beneath. Schools Keep facilities maintenance costs down and school grounds looking green using HydroPlanks for playground and field drainage. Whether installed beneath natural grass, concrete or multi-purpose surfaces, HydroPlanks are a viable, more efficient alternative to French drains that requires no upkeep or annual maintenance. Foundation Drainage provides a viable commercial construction storm water drainage solution for building foundations that is both easy to install, highly efficient and permanent. Simply affix HydroPlanks, side-by-side, next to the foundation, and place a perpendicular plank every 2.5-3m. HydroPlanks will now capture storm water that would typically run into the foundation, and direct the water away from the structure via the perpendicular planks without clogging. As a result, foundations are more stable and basements are kept dry. School grounds shown before drainage and after Residential Drainage HydroPlanks are a far superior replacement to traditional French drains in residential construction. Not only are they costeffective and easy to install, they have been proven both in the field and in laboratory not to clog over time. Traditional French drains incorporate aggregate, geotextiles, and perforated pipe which have been proven to fill up with silt in 2-7 years and require heavy equipment to dig large, 1.2m x 3m trenches. Minimally disruptive to the property, can be installed by digging a wide trench with a small piece of equipment. Hillside Drainage HydroPlanks have been proven in the field to successfully intercept ground water from hillsides and cut profiles, while preventing erosion along hillsides. Traditional systems of drainage for the oil and gas industry require massive amounts of aggregate, which are often transported down steep hills a cumbersome, time-consuming process. HydroPlanks facilitate the materials handling process. They are easily transported to the site in pallets and are simple to install by hand, either horizontally or vertically.
5 Sports Field Drainage HydroPlanks is the ideal permanent, efficient drainage solution for sports grounds from the recreational level and school, to college and professional leagues. 6 Golf Courses and Bunker Drainage Using HydroPlanks in lieu of customary stone and pipe drainage systems in bunkers and under fairways will make any greenkeeper s job a little easier, while saving both time and money associated with maintaining traditional golf course drainage systems. The long-lasting, safe and stable HydroPlanks are fast to install, stop stone migration into bunkers, do not clog, and eliminate contamination of the bunker sand with efficient sand trap drainage capabilities. Plus, when installed for fairway drainage, HydroPlanks are sturdy enough to withstand aeration. The product can also be used as an effective drainage solution for cartpath culverts. To install HydroPlanks in bunkers, cut shallow drainage trenches into the stable sub-base of the bunker using lateral / herringbone branches, and direct drainage to the low point of the bunker.
