The world s highest performance audio analyzer The 2700 Series is designed for audio engineers who need the highest performance, lowest distortion and greatest flexibility possible in their audio analyzer. The 2722 s true dual domain architecture enables uncompromised measurement of both analog and digital signals: the analog generator and analyzer performance surpasses that of any digital converter-based design, while digital analysis techniques offer a wide array of precise, high-speed measurement techniques for either domain. Cross-domain work can be accomplished using the best of both worlds. The typical THD+N of the 2700 Series is < 115 db at 2.0 Vrms. However, to ensure reliable performance at all times, under all conditions, and across the entire input range of the instrument, AP conservatively specs THD+N of the 2700 Series at 112 db. Despite this self-imposed conservatism (or perhaps because of it), the 2700 Series is the industry s undisputed performance leader. Typical THD+N is 110 db with the AG52 generator option, making its analog performance second only to the 2700 Series. The BW52 Ultra-high bandwidth option adds unprecedented FFT performance: One million points, DC to 1 MHz bandwidth and full 24-bit resolution. It is ideal for looking at switching frequencies of Class D amplifiers. APx525 is ideal for power amp testing with Vrms max output, power spectrum graphs, regulated frequency sweeps, IEC60268 CMRR and CEA-2006/ CEA-490A measurements. It is a best-in-class instrument for its speed, performance, automation and easeof-use at a price that is affordable for any production budget. Having a dedicated audio analyzer on the production line allows significantly easier test set up, faster, more reliable test procedures, and trusted results between vendors, designers and manufacturers. APx515 has a typical THD+N of 106, 24-bit FFTs, and 192 khz digital I/O as well as the one-click automation and ease-of-use of all APx Series audio analyzers. Like all APx analyzers, APx515 can be easily automated from within the user interface, or integrated into a larger system using the API or LabVIEW driver. 7 APx I/O Modules PRODUCT CATALOG 2012 HDMI + ARC Systematic test for HDMI+ARC and Dolby / DTS compliance The APx HDMI option allows engineers to measure HDMI audio quality and audio format compatibility on devices such as surround sound receivers, set-top boxes, smartphones, tablets, TVs, and DVD or Blu-ray Disc players. APx projects are available to automate Dolby and DTS compliance tests, generating a formatted report ready for submission. Audio Return Channel (ARC), a part of the HDMI 1.4 spec, is also supported. Read & set HDMI Infoframe and other digital protocols. Systematically compare metadata values to actual audio signal. In addition to generating linear / PCM audio streams, APx can stream lossless formats (such Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD Master Audio ) and compressed formats (such as Dolby Digital and DTS Digital Surround ) from pre-encoded audio test files. This feature makes it easy to troubleshoot component compatibility and downsampling / downmixing / transcoding issues. APx s HDMI sink EDID can also be edited to test a source s response. The APx Metadata Recorder captures metadata changes over time, displaying up to 15 different metadata fields for periods of up to 168 hours. The data is presented in a logic-analyzer-like view to make relative start and stop times easier to identify. Bluetooth wireless Integrated Bluetooth wireless technology APx s built-in Bluetooth radio and Bluetooth stack allows engineers to measure their Bluetooth devices directly. All Bluetooth controls are integrated into the analyzer software. APx supports A2DP, HFP, HSP, and AVRCP profiles and SBC, aptx, and CVSD codecs. In addition to standard commands like pairing or opening a connection, it s easy to switch between profiles and roles on the fly, specify a custom device class, connect with a preferred sample rate or codec, or force open a SCO without ringing. For deeper protocol analysis, a link key is available to cut and paste into a Bluetooth packet sniffer. Once connected, every audio characteristic can be measured the same as any other interface, while the Bluetooth metadata is available via the Montitor view. Used with the other APx I/O options, nearly any combination of input and output of a Bluetooth device can be measured directly. Digital Serial Interface Multichannel chip-level connectivity Digital serial capability is essential in R&D for evaluating designs at the circuit board level. The Digital Serial I/O option adds a multichannel digital serial interface to APx analyzers providing a direct connection to chip level interfaces such as I 2 S and other popular serial interface formats including left justified, right justified, and DSP. DSIO supports TDM or multiple data line configurations for up to 8 channels of audio data and includes automatic rate calculators and active timing diagrams, independent input and output clocks, and dedicated, buffered oscilloscope monitor ports. DSIO can use the internal APx clock or can slave to an external clock. 6
