4 GAVCO INDUSTRIES TERMS AND CONDITIONS General Information HOURS: 7:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. Will call will stay open if special arrangements are made in advance. TERMS: STORAGE FEES: Terms are as stated on your invoice. All past due accounts will be subject to the following: * A 1.5% late payment fee per month on the unpaid invoice(s) balances will be charged prorated. * Past due invoices must be paid prior to picking up any new orders. * Repeat late payment tendencies will result in a change from open account to C.O.D., with no cash discounts. Orders not picked up within 7 calendar days after notification of completion will be charged a storage fee of 1.5% per week. SPECIAL ORDERS: ORDERS: ORDERS REQUESTED TO BE READY BY A SPECIFIC DATE WILL BE INVOICED ON THAT DATE. All orders must be complete and in writing. GAVCO will not accept responsibility for errors on incomplete or verbal orders. Please include complete descriptions, the catalog part numbers, quotation numbers, and finishes. Custom orders must have signed accompanying drawings with complete dimensions and descriptions. Confirmation will be supplied to ensure that we have correctly interpreted your order. Orders will not be released to production until the acknowledgement is signed and returned to Gavco. * Changes to orders are required in writing via revised purchase order (no verbal or ). * Customer is solely responsible for any errors of measurement on any custom manufactured product. * The minimum order that will be accepted is $ net. Orders for less than $ will be billed $ CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS: RETURNS: All changes and/or cancellations must be confirmed in writing, by revised P.O. Changes and/or cancellations will be accepted if received prior to production. Any changes or cancellations resulting in incurred expenses for materials or labor by GAVCO will be invoiced at 50% of order total with a minimum of $ No merchandise will be accepted for return by the factory without prior approval from GAVCO. Some items eligible for return approved by GAVCO, will incur a restocking charge of 25% and must be in original condition. Custom units will not be accepted for return. Products, except tables, are fully assembled unless specified to be knocked down (KD)*. *Tables are generally shipped knocked down to aide in transportation. * Dealers must specify in writing if tables are to be assembled at the factory. LARGE QUANTITY AND CUSTOM ORDERS: LEAD TIMES: These types of orders may require a 50%deposit. These types of orders also may not be eligible for QUICK SHIP or can create longer leadtimes. Please call GAVCO regarding large quantity or custom orders for clarification. Standard lead times generally run from 3-4 weeks, but are impacted by seasonal demand. QUICK SHIP generally runs 10 working days. All orders are subject to current inventories and order volumes can affect lead times. We will attempt to meet lead times quoted at all times, but will assume no liability for damages or costs incurred due to late orders. QUICK SHIP PROGRAM: Our QUICK SHIP program consists of a 10% up charge for any standard item in a standard finish listed in the catalog. QUICK SHIP designates a production time of 10 working days. 7 Limited Lifetime Warranty GAVCO Industries, Inc. promises to repair or replace any GAVCO melamine product or component that is defective in material or workmanship for as long as you, the original purchaser, own it *. This is your sole exclusive remedy. This warranty is subject to the limitations, exclusions and other provisions below. It applies to product manufactured after April 1st, Exclusions: This warranty does not apply and not other warranty applies to: High Pressure Laminate (HPL) see below. Normal wear and tear, which is to be expected over the course of ownership. Damage caused by the carrier in-transit, which will be handled under separate terms. Modifications or attachments to the product that are not approved by GAVCO Industries. Products that were not installed, used or maintained in accordance with product instructions warnings or damaged during install. Products used for rental purposes. Costs associated with transportation and re-installation of defective product that has not been approved by GAVCO prior to replacement. A word about color variations and finishes: Some natural variations occurring in wood and other natural materials are inherent to their character; and cannot be avoided. Therefore they are not considered defects. GAVCO does not warrant the color-fastness or matching of colors, grains, or textures of such materials. Customer s Own Materials (COM) selected by and used at the request of a user is not warranted. TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, GAVCO INDUSTRIES MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTY, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PUR- POSE. 8 GAVCO INDUSTRIES General Information COMPUTER CORNER CONFIGURATIONS These are some of the computer corner configurations that are available. Each corner s dimensions are shown and note the diagonal dimension especially. In configuration A for example, a 36 x computer corner comes with a 22 diagonal. In configuration A1, the diagonal is only 17. This diagonal dimension may affect the width of the keyboard tray below the work surface. For example, you will not be able to fit a 29 wide keyboard tray under a 17 diagonal comfortably as the width of the tray is greater than the diagonal and with a return coming off of each side, the tray would remain under the return on each side. The solution is to corner cut the return so that the larger diagonal can be utilized for wider keyboard trays (see A2, B2, and C1). It is possible to make the diagonal length greater by corner cutting the return side connection. If you are using a 42 X corner unit with 30 depth returns (see B1), you only have a 17 diagonal. If you take a 42 X corner and want to keep the 30 return depth on each side, we can corner cut the returns 6 x 6 to produce a 25 diagonal (see B2).
