3 IT COMES DOWN TO SERVICE Our service team approach sets HM Workers Compensation apart in the marketplace. From the moment coverage is bound, through the duration of the policy, you can count on a dedicated service team to help you put programs and practices into place that will generate the best possible outcomes for your company. Your HM service team consists of dedicated professionals that possess a comprehensive understanding of your business needs and goals. 4 HELPING YOU MANAGE THE DAY TO DAY Your HM account manager serves as a liaison between your broker and your HM policy, handling all service needs. We provide a welcome letter and claims kit within seven days of binding coverage to ensure you are ready to administer your program from the very start. During the orientation meeting, which is held within two weeks of binding coverage, your account manager walks you through all aspects of the program, obtaining account-specific information, reviewing the cost savings programs, providing the LIBC-500 and provider panels and necessary forms, identifying any special reporting needs and conducting online systems training to ensure a comfort level has been met. Following that, account managers lead account review meetings that are held to provide claim summaries and action plans to address all open lost time claims. The claims analyst participates to discuss the claims in more detail. In addition, at renewal, clients are provided with a scorecard that indicates the cost savings they have received through our network discounts on medical bills, pharmaceuticals, physical therapy and diagnostic testing.
5 GIVING YOU BETTER CONTROL Analyzing operations to determine the potential for workers compensation incidents, our loss control team conducts an on-site assessment of your current safety programs. They focus our loss control program on solutions aimed at making your workplace as safe as possible. Services include: Safety committee development and training Noise surveys Technical bulletins Ergonomic evaluations And many more In addition, specific service needs and requests are considered and plans are developed and delivered to bring them into the organization. Safety system improvements drive a successful safety culture and impact a customer s frequency and severity of incidents. TAKING CARE OF CLAIMS Should a claim arise, you can count on our dedicated lost time and medical-only claim analysts to be responsible for all aspects of claims adjudication. Our thorough claim investigations result in well-supported compensability determinations by conducting employer, claimant and witness interviews, researching prior work injuries and medical history and consulting applicable case law. We work to make our service even better for our clients by processing more than 96% of lost time and medical claims within the required timeframes. And, this is done with greater than 99% technical and financial accuracy, while complying with all state regulations for workers compensation.* It s also important to keep a close eye on reserve management, and we make this a top priority, carefully evaluating exposure to ensure the reserves reflect the most probable claim outcome. 6 WE SPEAK MEDICAL Our in-house medical case management with physician-to-physician interaction helps to ensure the best outcome is attained. Medical case management is conducted for all lost time, modified duty and medical-only claims in excess of $5,000 incurred, as well as in other appropriate circumstances. Physician-to-physician interaction is initiated during the investigation of a claim to obtain and evaluate the diagnosis, prognosis, treatment plan and timeline for return-to-work. We use aggressive physician oversight and intervention throughout the life of the claim to assess the appropriateness of medical care and return the claimant to work within medically established time parameters. From the onset of a claim, our focus is on returning employees to work as quickly as possible. And, we keep in close contact with you to discuss the release and accommodation of the restrictions. NETWORK SAVINGS GO BACK TO YOU We partner with vendors to establish a contracted network for outpatient services, pharmaceuticals and physical therapy. Through use of these networks, clients experience significant cost savings on billed charges. We do not retain any administrative fees from the savings, so everything goes back to our clients. eservices MAKES IT EASY You will have convenient, 24/7 access to our secure eservices website, allowing access to our online application for submitting a first report of injury and the ability to check claims status and view or download reports at any time you choose. We also offer real-time access to reserve and paid-to-date information, as well as claim summaries, legal activity, current work status and more through eservices. Our online tools are simple, immediate and accurate.
