Hairdressing The Academy and Hairdressing Training Salons aim to fly the flag of high achievement, progression and vision to build on the foundations of knowledge and creativity to inspire our students to develop their skills towards becoming successful stylists. The Academy space reflects the core philosophy of Edinburgh College with minimalist design, clean lines and contemporary styling and spacious reception area that features a dedicated retail shop where the range of professional Wella products are available for you to purchase to enhance your hairdressing services. Our partnership with Wella world leaders in hair care products enables us to offer the best possible combination of technical and aftercare services to ensure perfect results - plus the ultimate in beautifully conditioned hair. Leading the way in professional education, The Academy will offer a mixture of contemporary and creative Hairdressing and Barbering services in the College We look forward to you visiting our facilities, meeting our staff and students.

3 Beauty & Spa Daytime Mon-Friday pm Our Beauty & Spa academy has 5 modern training salons and a newly equipped spa with sauna, steam, spa pool and monsoon shower, tanning booth and reception area. Availabilty of treatments varies on a day to day basis to meet the needs of our learners. We offer a yearly membership which entitles you to limitless treatments throughout the year for only 100 or you can Pay as you go for a set rate of 5 per treatment. Subject to availability of the assessment criteria. We also have 3 & 6 week case studies available throughout the year where you will visit the same therapist for 3/6 consecutive weeks and have a tailor made face or body treatment. Please ask main reception for details. Prices are either 15, 25 or 50 depending on equipment and products being used. Employability Evening Beauty Salons Tuesday and Wednesday pm Our evening employability salons take on a different ambience. We want to create a relaxing professional environment to meet the needs of our clients but also to best prepare our learners for employment in the beauty industry. Our learners are trained to a high standard and are closely supervised to ensure you are in good hands at all times. We offer a full range of salon and spa therapies and attending our evening employability salons allows you to book your choice of treatment on a pay as you go basis. There is a yearly membership fee of 1 Please note that as this is a training environment and treatment times may be slightly longer and certain aspects of treatments may be altered in order to meet assessment requirements of the learner.

9 Shampoo A gentle moisturizing cleanser enriched with Green Tea extracts to cleanse the hair and scalp. Rich in Catechin Polyphenols, Green Tea extract contains EGCG, a powerful antioxidant and is a good source of Vitamin C, proteins, tannins and theanine. The Balmain shampoo gives a natural shine and color protection. First brush your hair thoroughly, then soak with warm water, we would suggest that you do not turn the head upside down but always wash from the crown down. Next apply shampoo. Distribute your normal amount of shampoo at the root area; gently massaging in small circles over the scalp area, this will cleanse both the natural hair and your extensions. There is no requirement to scrub the midlengths or ends as these will be cleansed suffi ciently during the rinsing process. Rinse thoroughly and repeat if necessary. Suitable for daily use. Apply the Balmain Conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends only, do not apply to scalp or bonds, gently massage, distributing the conditioner thoroughly. You can brush the ends using your soft bristle brush. This will help ensure every hair is coated thoroughly with conditioner. You should leave the conditioning treatment on for a minimum of three minutes and a maximum of 10 minutes. Once conditioned, rinse thoroughly with warm water. Use the recovering Balmain Hair Mask once a week. Apply on damp hair, leave in for 5 minutes and rinse out. It moisturizes and restores dry and damaged hair. They are transparent and do not stick to the fingers while you are applying. What are they used for: Re-applying Fill-In extensions and DoubleHair.
