6 Software support Process step: Selection and sizing Product Finder The product finder in the product catalogue enables the right product to be quickly found by selecting the features. Predefined configurations are transferred to the product configurator and the recommended accessories are suggested when transferring them to the basket. Advantages: Easier searches thanks to preselected selection criteria. Quick and easy product configuration as well as selection of matching accessories. Latest product features as blue info text under the product picture. 6

7 New function: Product finder for push-in fittings Start the product finder in the catalogue by clicking the blue button. Specify the required technical properties on the left. Suitable products are then highlighted on the right; clicking a product picture opens the prepopulated configurator. Advantage: Find the right fittings quickly and easily. 7

8 New function: Product finder for certifications The new product finders for certifications let you filter a particular product portfolio by specific features. For example: Explosion protection (ATEX) Certifications, e.g. BIA, C-Tick, UL, etc. Degree of protection, e.g. IP, NEMA, etc. Notes on materials/suitability for use in the food industry Safety requirements, e.g. SIL, PL etc. Advantage: Find products with special requirements quickly and easily. 8

9 New function: Product overview for process automation The new tab "Process automation" under Products displays a selection of popular products for this area. Different valve terminals with electrical peripherals Application-specific directional control valves Sensor boxes (limit switch attachments) Positioners Quarter turn actuators for process automation etc. Advantage: A quick overview of Festo's most popular process automation products. 9

10 New function: Other recommended accessories The recommended accessories bring together the most frequently used components. The proposed selection is matched to the size of the previously configured product. Items marked with an asterisk are from our standard product range. This function is now also available for the following products: ADNM, AEN (metric/inch), ESBF-32/40/50, SDE5, DRVS Advantage: Find matching accessories quickly and easily. 10

Advantages: Less risk during product selection because product suggestions are based on requirements. No need for complex calculations, reality tests or rough estimates. 14 Software support Process step: Engineering design Rapid and reliable engineering design mechanical and electrical: Reduce complexity with 2D/3D CAD data for over 32,000 products, suitable Eplan macros and FluidDraw data for creating electrical and pneumatic circuit diagrams. CAD module of a valve terminal CAD plug-in Drilling template Advantages for mechanical design: 45 CAD formats allow direct installation in your CAD system without time-consuming geometry imports and missing component links. The CAD plug-in allows the products to be selected within your CAD system and the use of the company's own templates. 2D and 3D drilling templates for valve terminals help you to minimise design work. 14

Creation of CAD product combinations with an automatically generated assembly drawing (PDF format) as well as an order item for the order. Advantages for electrical design: Function and 2D graphics macros for Eplan for quick and easy generation of circuit diagrams. FluidDraw for easy creation of electrical and pneumatic circuit diagrams. Article database with over 32,000 part numbers in 20 languages. 15

16 New function: CAD archive The CAD archive function gives you an overview of all the CAD models you have marked to download. Benefits: Shorter waiting times, numerous CAD models can be loaded in the background at the same time All CAD models can be downloaded with a single ZIP file by marking them and selecting the "Download" function. 16

17 New function: PARTdataManager component comparison/search First page You can now start a component comparison by right clicking into the first column of the selection table (number). Advantages: Differences in geometry are immediately clear. Decisions about product geometry can be made quickly, for example when aiming to change over to products from the core product range (identified with a star). 17

18 New function: PARTdataManager component comparison/search First page Upload a product or a component as a native or neutral CAD model. Whether it is about an inhouse produced mounting bracket for a cylinder or a cylinder from another manufacturer, you can see straightaway which Festo products have a similar geometry. (A detailed comparison of geometries in tabular form, for example of the dimensions, is only possible between Festo products.) Advantages: Simplifies the make-or-buy decision, e.g. for accessories like mounting brackets. Enables products to be recoded based on their geometry. 18

From the basket, you can view the following information at a glance: Part number and quantity Product description Price and availability Important notes about the product directly above the relevant item Additional information about products that are being phased out Advantages: No need to wait for a quotation; prices and availability are immediately visible. Prompt notifications about products that are to be phased out. 20

21 Software support Process step: Ordering from the Online Shop Basket Special functions that we offer: Importing parts lists for using data directly on your own system Order tracking, including for fax and phone orders Downloading complete documentation Advantages: Importing the parts list eliminates the risk of typing errors and incorrect orders. Delivery status can be viewed quickly and easily at any time, optimising project management. You receive all documents for your order with one download + language selection. 21

22 New function: Displaying and downloading customer material numbers New area in the basket that allows you to display your customer material numbers and export them to an Excel file. Advantages: Quick way of getting an overview of the customer material numbers currently maintained. Allows searches by customer material number, Festo part number or type. Easy way of exporting the assignment to an Excel file. Easy way of maintaining your customer material numbers in Excel and sending them back to Festo. 22

For remote maintenance via Ethernet networks For simple visualisation of device and signal statuses without a SCADA system or programming For ensuring configurations and parameter sets are correct during maintenance and conversion For commissioning, testing and configuring CPX valve terminals For comparing the data of identical CPX valve terminals Advantage: Enormous cost savings thanks to the program's ease of use, which allows multiple use of existing IT infrastructures and offers convenient, optimised diagnostic options even without inhouse engineering. 29 New function: Detailed information when entering order/ident. codes The following additional information is now displayed when entering the order/ident. code for assemblies generated using the Festo Design Tool 3D*: Detailed parts list Assembly drawing as 3D PDF FDT 3D configuration file The "Download package" function is also supported. Advantages: Information about product assemblies can be called up at any time either online or using mobile technologies. Save exploded views and parts lists as PDFs or print them out directly. 3. Select matching spare parts online from our spare parts catalogue and conveniently order them from our Online Shop. You will find the spare parts catalogue on the "Support" tab under "Commissioning and after sales". Advantages: Many Festo products can be repaired very cost-effectively. Exploded views and parts lists can be called up directly without having to perform a separate search. 30
