2 Introduction On September 25 th more than 160 Heads of State will convene at the United Nations for the SDG Summit. The business community embraces the UN Post-2015 Development Agenda with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at its core, and is committed to partner on the successful implementation of The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and The Addis Ababa Action Agenda. The business case for development is based on the understanding that business and social values are inextricably linked and business efforts to improve lives and strengthen local communities can also have longterm bottom line benefits. The SDG Business Forum brings together Chief Executive Officers, Government leaders, Heads of UN Agencies, and Civil Society leaders to celebrate this landmark event and discuss how business will continue to be an effective partner and contribute solutions to the implementation of the new sustainable development agenda.
