2 WMO RA-III It is composed by the 12 NMHS of countries of South America + France (French Guyana). The last RA meeting decides to implement four working groups: (a) Management Group; (b) Infrastructure and Technological Development Group (c) Climate Group
3 REGIONAL CLIMATE CENTERS FOR SOUTH AMERICA
4 Regional Climate Centers for SA (RCCs) The CRCs will be Centers of Excellence, designated by WMO technical commissions of CBS and CCl, to perform functions at regional level, including: Operational Data Services Operational mid and long range forecast Operational Climate Monitoring Training with the use of operational services and products of the RCC Coordination between RCCs, GCPs and NMHS in the region Climate Applications Research and Development The RCCs will be complementary of/and support of the NMHs, which will delivery the products at national level.

16 Quality Control of Data The quality control scripts are developed in R (open source) IDB Funds are used to training the personnel of NMHS, member of RCC-SSA
17 IAI CRN 3035 The network is comprised of an interdisciplinary team of scientists working both in universities and in government agencies and social agents working in agricultural extension agencies and NGOs. The research program propose the definition and improvement of products and processes related to climate services focused on users.
