4 Education Tertiary institutions often facilitate various types of academic research and knowledge exchange to demonstrate and improve their teaching and academic level. With the limitation of space and time, the issue of how to present valuable lectures to more students is becoming more of a concern. The REACH recording and streaming system not only delivers live streaming of audio and video, including computer desktop information, but can also simultaneously create recordings of the presentations to be downloaded for future review and reference. 5 How it works The REACH solution incorporates an IP network, video, audio, the teachers presentation, and any other AV source (eg. visualiser) from within the classroom. Students in the library, dormitory, or any other location that has access to the campus network, can view the lecture live, via the campus network. The recorded lecture will be saved on the REACH server and can be automatically transferred to the schools resource server for students to view at a later date when required. In this case, Nanyang Business School has a training centre, comprised of 4 training rooms. The key requirement is in each room, they have several input signals, with up to 5 signals in one room. 14 Changhua Christian Hospital, Taiwan (Multi-room solution) Changhua Christian Hospital (abbreviated hereafter as CCH) was established in the year 1896, andgrewunder the ess contributions of overseas missionaries, until the present day, 109 years later. Many offer seminars and presentations from keynote speakers and industry professionals, providing a great resource for future reference. Traditionally, only the video and audio from the guest speakers have been recorded, without the content from their actual presentation. REACH addresses this problem by recording video from multiple sources, eg. video of the presenter together with their PowerPoint content. This can be simultaneously streamed through the network to other attendees, or even offsite to those who were unable to attend the event. 22 Video Wall Recording Video wall systems are widely used across many industries, from commercial applications to public security purposes. With REACH, rich media content can be captured, recorded, managed, and distributed across an organisations existing IP network.
