Fire Damage? Water Damage? Oil Contamination? We have the SOLUTION! On Surfaces In porous Materials Contamination in the AIR Professional Products for Cleaning Professionals

Products for Fire and Water Damage Restoration Our programme in this field of expertise began with our still successful product Smoke Clean. Since then this special product line has steadily grown. Today it is an extensive pallet of products that give the professional restorer solutions to the many different problems encountered in fire and water damage restoration so that these can be mastered successfully. We would like to give you a quick but still extensive overview of our products and their many applications in this brochure. In the end you will receive an extensive table as a quick reference as to which products are suitable for which materials or surfaces. However, we would like to mention at this point, that these recommendations are only to be used as a guideline - before applying these special products one should always test the materials for compatibility with the product before proceeding with large scale use. Finally one should always take the recommended dilution ratios to heart and always rinse with water thoroughly at the end in order to remove final residues of dirt and product. Of course not all problems can be addressed in this brochure - in this case do not hesitate to contact us for advice and assisstance: be it from our technical service in Hamburg., Germany, or from our sales reps. Our guiding motto: Professional Products for Cleaning Professionals - We have the Solution! will engrave itself in your memory after we have had the opportunity to support you for the first time! Fire Damage Restoration This highly specialized field does not receive the recognition it should, especially in the circle of crafts. Restorers not only have to apply the knowledge and methods of a building contractor - they very often work in highly contaminated sites making the work even more difficult - not only from the point of view of personal protective measures but also the measures to be taken on site regarding safety as well as the disposal to be considered during and after the job is done. Since a fire is never the same as it depends not only on the amount of oxygen supplied but also on the materials that burn one cannot simply use one product for all situations. In addition the odour types and concentrations vary extensively from site to site and have to be considered after cleanup to complete the resoration process properly. One cannot imagine the world without plastics today. As a result one has to be prepared to face their combustion products after a fire. In many cases one of these plastics is PVC which leads to a broad variety of toxic products that are generated in a fire. It is therefore unavoidable to have to have the right products that are able to handle the complete removal of these toxins. An analysis prior to starting with the restoration process is very important. In this case it is opportune that when organic chlorides are created by the burning of PVC this is almost always accompanied by the presence of inorganic chlorides. This facilitates the analysis on site as it is now possible to conduct a qualitative analysis with a test strip such as would be used to determine the ph. The only things that are needed are an appropriate test strip and distilled water. Both of these items are included in our Smoke Box. In addition to receiving twelve products for fire damage restoration one gets one pack of our Chlorid Quick Test with 30 test strips and a bottle of distilled water in order to use the Chloride Quick Test. Analytics The Chloride Quick Test is easy to use: one wets the test strip with distilled water, presses it onto the surface to be tested and compares the color change with the scale on the pack. According to the German directive VdS 2357 a contamination of 5-10 µg/cm 2 is already sufficient to make special measures necessary in the restoration process. 1

Piece Chloride Quick Test Art Product type/use: Product Information: Application: Qualitative determination of chloride contamination. For the quick, qualitative determination of chloride residues on surfaces such as metal, painted surfaces, plastics, etc. The Chloride Quick Test gives a quick insight to the presence of chloride contamination. Moisten the test strip with distilled water and press onto the surface to be tested. The result is compared with the scale on the package. Box containing 30 test strips If one carries out this test throughout the damage site one may quickly and easily determine in what manner special measures are needed on site and if they are necessary throughout the site or only in localized areas. We recommend that you document these tests photografically in order to have proof of having carried out this analysis. Cleaning - Generally At this point one has determined whether or not special measures are required. The next step is to remove the fire residues or condensates, in laymans terms, the soot. This process is usually begun by trying to remove as much as possible dry soot by mechanical means using special vacuums with the appropriate filter system or on especially sensitive surfaces or materials with the Chemical Sponge. Chemical Sponge, Art Product type/use: Product Information: Dry removal of soot. For the dry removal of soot from water sensitive surfaces such as paintings, books, upholstery, wall paper, etc. The Chemical Sponge makes removal possible without damaging valuable items and also prevents soot from penetrating deeper as would be the case with a moist or wet treatment of same material. Piece 2

Dry removal is only possible to a certain extent as soot is more or less greasy. The more plastics were burned in the fire the more greasy the soot is, making the use of chemicals a necessity for successful removal. At this point a number of factors play an important role to determine which product is the right one. For one it is important to know whether or not chlorides are present. Another important factor is that soot is almost always acidic which means that the product used should be alkaline in order to make neutralization more effective. In the case that chlorides are present in very small amounts or not at all one may make do with an economical cleaner which also neutralizes. For this case we developed our well proven Alkaline Smoke and Soot Cleaner. Alkaline Smoke and Soot Cleaner, Art. 945 Product type/use: Cleaner for all alkaline-resistant materials and surfaces with neutralizing effect after fire damage. Product Information: A strong alkaline cleaner and neutralizer for all alkaline resistant surfaces like cement, stone, metal, etc. <5% nonionic surfactants, <5% cationic surfactants, <5% phosphates, <5% NTA, dye, and water. ph: Concentrate: Ready-to-use-solution: Dilute 1:1 to 1:30 with water and apply. NASS/WET If chlorides in large amounts have been determined to be present a product which is able to remove them completely is absolutely necessary. For this purpose we developed our Smoke Clean. It is highly alkaline and formulated in such a manner so as to successfully remove the toxins associated with chloride residues. Smoke Clean, Art. 940 Product type/use: Alkaline fire damage cleaner. Product Information: Alkaline cleaner and neutralizer for all alkaline-resistant hard surfaces. Removes extreme smoke and soot residues. Neutralizes hydrochloric acid residues. Binds and disperses toxic residues such as dioxanes, furanes, etc. that may occur during a fire. <5% anionic surfactants, 5 - <15% nonionic surfactants, perfume, builders, solvents, complexing agents, and water. ph: Concentrate: Ready-to-use-solution: Dilute 1:6 to 1:30 with water and apply. For the case that a complete removal of the soot was not possible with the Alkaline Smoke and Soot Cleaner or with Smoke Clean we have the Super Special Cleaner. An extremely alkaline cleaner which was conceived for the toughest cases - it should also only be used for these cases. Super Special Cleaner Art Product type/use: Highly concentrated corrective and intensive cleaner. Product Information: A highly concentrated power cleaner for all alkaline resistant surfaces. Even the most difficult cleaning problems are solved with the Super Special Cleaner. <5% NTA, <5% nonionic surfactants, solvents, alkalis, dye, and water. ph: Concentrate: Ready-to-use-solution: Dilute 1:1 to 1:100 with water and apply. NASS/WET One cannot always work with cleaners that are alkaline. Wood, some plastics, and some metals are not suited for this type of cleaner. Linoleum also is sensitive towards alkalinity and may therefore not be cleaned with the three products just mentioned. As an alternative for this case we developed Desaster Clean which has the same characteristics as our Smoke Clean, but is neutral in ph. This makes the restoration of these types of surfaces possible even when they are contaminated with chloride residues. The only thing which requires more effort is the neutralization process which may require multiple use of the product or extensive rinsing with water in order to reduce the ph. 3

Desaster Clean, Art. 950 Product type/use: Neutral intensive cleaner - especially for fire damage restoration. Product Information: ph-neutral solvent-containing cleaner for porous and sensitive surfaces. Encapsulates the soot and emulsifies fatty residues. 5-15% nonionic surfactants, perfume, solvents, and water. ph: Concentrate: Ready-to-use-solution: Dilute 1:10 to 1:50 with water and apply. As an alternative to Desaster Clean we have a product which was originally developed for use in a completely different area, namely in food processing. Cebazym is also ph neutral and achieves the same effect as Desaster Clean by means of an enzyme system. It has also proven to be an excellent additive for ultrasound baths. Cebazym, Art Product type/use: ph-neutral cleaner for all water-resistant surfaces - suited for fire damage restoration and in gastronomy and food processing as the enzyme action provides excellent degreasing properties. May also be used in ultrasonic baths. Product Information: An enzymatic foam cleaner which removes smoke and soot residues and greasy/oily dirt from porous materials such as plastics and other water-resistant surfaces % nonionic surfactants, enzymes, perfume, builders, solvents, and water. ph: Concentrate: Ready-to-use-solution: Depending on the application dilute 1:10 to 1:100 with water and apply. FEUCHT/DAMP For accelerated cleaning with simultaneous rinsing and removal of floor and wall surfaces we recommend the Benovac FE, which has an integrated pump for automatic discharge of the waste water from its tank enabling it to clean large areas without the typical down time associated with commercial wet vacuums. Benovac FE, Art Floor Tool for Benovac FE, Art Wall Tool for Benovac FE, Art The new CEBE BENOVAC FE, with auto feed function as well as automatic discharge makes it ideal for use in water damage restoration, hard floor, and façade cleaning. The hard floor tool as well as the wall tool make it possible to clean with up to 80 bars of pressure while at the same time removing the cleaning sotion - from vertical surfaces too. This enables the user to clean façades with a minimum of waste water and makes the construction of water capturing devices unnecessary. Both automatic feed and discharge enable one to clean large surface areas without the tedious carrying of water and waste water. Technical Information: Vacuum motors: Pump: Automatic Water: Automatic Discharge: Waste water tank: 2 x 2-stage manually adjustable to 80 bar with min. 5/8 connection up to 80 litres per minute 41 litres In our introduction we mentioned the fact that contamination with fire condensates is accompanied by a more or less intense odour contamination. To possibly avoid the extra step of odour neutralization after the cleanup process one can use Kill Odor Normal as an additive to the cleaning solution. Kill Odor Normal, Art. 320 Product type/use: Odour neutralizer especially suited for smoke and fire odours. Product Information: This odour neutralizer may be added to any cleaning solution. It is especially effective against smoke odours. <5% nonionic surfactants, perfume (cinnamaldehyde, citronellol, d-limonene, geraniol), glycol ether, dye, and water. ph: Concentrate: Ready-to-use-solution: Dilute 1:5 with water or cleaning solution and apply. NASS/WET NASS/WET 4

Untreated wood surfaces such as antique furniture, for example, are a special case: it is of utmost importance that the soot is completely removed from the porous/open surface. For this purpose we developed our Wood Creme Restorer. This paste is apllied to the wood surface and then polished using very fine steel wool after a short dwell time. The wood is cleaned with Wood Creme Restorer, freed of the odours in the wood, and finally restored by a combination of oils contained in the product. Wood Creme Restorer, Art. 900 Product type/use: Cleaning, caring, and deodorizing paste for untreated wood surfaces. Product Information: Removes smoke and soot residues from the pores of porous surfaces such as wood, cork, etc. with follow-up care effect. 30% aliphatic hydrocarbons, perfume (cinnamaldehyde, citronellol, d-limonene, geraniol), plant-based oils, alkalis, and water. ph: With 10g/litre water: Apply undiluted. Depending on the surface use a clean cloth or fine steel wool. Box of 4 x 4.5 kg, Box of 12 x 800g. Another special case are carpets and upholstery. For this case we have the right products from our other product lines which are also suited for fire damage restoration. For carpets we have the alkaline Traffic Lane Cleaner which has the desired neutralizing effect and contains the right ingredients for soot removal. Traffic Lane Cleaner, Art. 160 Product type/use: Pre-spray and booster for synthetic carpets. Product Information: This product is especially suited for all difficult to clean and heavily soiled carpets. Traffic Lane Cleaner may be used as a pre-spray in carpet extraction cleaning or as a booster in carpet shampooing. The product may be used on all synthetic fibres <5% nonionic surfactants, <5% phosphates, silicate, glycol, dye, and water. ph: Concentrate: Ready-to-use-solution: Pre-Spray - dilute 1:8 with water and apply. Booster - dilute 1:1 with cleaning solution and apply according to instructions of cleaning product. For upholstery cleaning we recommend our Soil Lifter as a pre-spray. As many upholstery consist of at least partially natural fibres/fabrics it is sensible to use a pre-spray which is neutral in ph. Soil Lifter, Art. 720 Product type/use: Neutral pre-spray for all water-resistant fabrics. Product Information: A ph-neutral pre-spray especially for upholstery. Soil Lifter contains a highly effective combination of solvents and surface active substances enabling it to solve even the most difficult cleaning problems. <5% nonionic surfactants, perfume (d-limonene), organic solvents, organic acid, and water. ph: Concentrate: Ready-to-use-solution: Dilute 1:6 with water and apply. If a more intensive cleaning is desired, then the upholstery may be treated with our PM-Upholstery Shampoo. This product is also not alkaline, on the contrary, it is slightly acidic so that natural fibres or fabrics pose no problem. PM-Upholstery Shampoo, Art. 785 Product type/use: Upholstery shampoo - in combination with Anti-Brown Additive also suitable for linen and cotton fabrics. Product Information: An upholstery shampoo with a combination of solvents that permit excellent cleaning ability, combined with fast-drying action. In addition the product contains a special ingredient for the removal of soiling caused by skin grease. 5-15% anionic surfactants, perfume (citronellol, geraniol), complexing agents, and water. ph: Concentrate: Ready-to-use-solution: Dilute 1:10 to 1:20 with water and apply. 5

For an effective application of our products in carpet and upholstery cleaning we have a number of machines and accessories in our programme starting off with high performance extraction machines. The Daisy Maid is ideally suited for cleaning small areas. With 8 litres tank volume it is light enough. For somewhat larger jobs we have the Benovac HL15 while the Benovac KR is more effective for cleaning large areas and also ideal for upholstery cleaning due to its strong vacuum. Daisy Maid 14, Art. 785 The DAISY MAID is ideal for cleaning small to midsized areas. It has an easy to remove vacuum tank and is well suited for upholstery cleaning. Technische Daten: Vacuum motor 1 Turbine, 2-stufig Pump 5 bar Vacuum 220 mbar Dimensions (H x W x L) 50 x 37.5 x 54 cm Weight 12.7 Kg Cable length 10 m Hose length Power (Total) 1040 W (Pressure and vacuum) 2.2 m Tank capacity j14 liters each Benovac KR The new extraction machines from CEBE, the BENOVAC KR series, set a new standard in high-performance extraction machines for the professional carpet and upholstery cleaner. The housing is made of robust polyform mould, the wheels have a large diameter in the back for easy stair climbing and are free rotating in the front for easy maneuverability. However, what really sets these machines apart from others is the fact that they have a reduced noise level. This means that the operator does not have to wear ear protection (even based on the new EU directive), even though it is recommendable when working on a full-time basis. An additional advantage is the parallel configuration of the vacuum motors - this means that one does not pull along the other, as is the case with the standard series configuration. So if you want to use only one vacuum motor (e.g. when cleaning sensitive textiles) you get 100% of the turbine that is in operation. The performance is optimized and the wear on the motor reduced! With the Pre-Heat valve the operator is able to pre-heat the water in the solution tank in order to raise the cleaning temperature even more. If the carpet or textile is suitable for high heat the cleaning result is improved, the activity of enzymes contained in some of our products is elevated and the drying time is reduced. For maintenance purposes the machines are easily opened - just unhinge both latches and lift the top. All models save the KR1000 have two electrical cables for two circuits in the machine, as the power consumption may overstrain one circuit with power ratings up to 3000W and more. However, using an initial power surge limiter one can use all machines with just one electrical circuit under normal circumstances, as most power is consumed when the machine is started up. Of course it is always recommended to use two circuits, if available. Each machine comes with a standard hose package and a 2-jet floor tool. The instruction manual supplied with each machine contains detailed drawings and parts lists for all available spare parts, as well as electrical diagrams for repair purposes. Of course we also have the right accessories for both machine types to clean effectively: Floor tools (wands) and Hand tools. Hand Tool for the Daisy Maid, Art. 845 Floor Tool for the Daisy Maid, Art Floor Tool (Wand) with a working width of 20 cm and Hand Tool with a working width of 8 cm for the Daisy Maid. 6

Cleaning - Metals For metal cleaning we offer a number of products depending on the intensity not only of the soot contamination but also whether or not there has been surface corrosion. In this case we also differentiate between the cleaning of metal surfaces and the restoration of machines or machine parts/components which may betreated in baths. When cleaning metal surfaces we are again confronted with the question of whether or not chloride contamination is present. If this is not the case, and soot contamination is mild, one may use the solvent/oil mixture Shila Sheine. This product cleans the surface and also has a slight conserving/protective effect due to its oil content. Shila Sheine, Art. 930 Product type/use: Metal cleaner and care based on a solvent/oil mixture. Product Information: A cleaning and neutralizing care product for all metals that are at risk to corrosion. 30% aliphatic hydrocarbons and oils. ph: Concentrate: not applicable Ready-to-use-solution: not applicable Apply undiluted. Box of 4 x 5 litres, Box of 12 x 1 litre. If treatment for corrosion and cleaning is required, there are two alternatives available. One is our Tile and Steel Cleaner, a product developed in our line for food processing, where the cleaning of vertical surfaces is often required. This product is based on phosphoric acid and has rust removing and degreasing properties which makes it ideal for this purpose. The inhibitive effect of phosphoric acid ensures material sensitive removal of rust. The Tile and Steel Cleaner has also turned out to be an ideal complement to alkaline cleaners when it comes to cleaning grout. The soot contaminated grout is first treated with an alkaline cleaner, rinsed with water, and then treated with Tile and Steel Cleaner. This ensures removal of even the last bit dirt from the grout. Tile and Steel Cleaner, Art Product type/use: Multi-purpose Phosphoric acid based foam cleaner with degreasing action. Product Information: Tile and Steel Cleaner is a specialty product for effective cleaning of tiles and equipment in food processing. The product removes fat, proteins, scale, and rust without problems and is suited for manual use, use in high pressure washers, or foam generators. The stable, fine foam ensures long working times and is easy to rinse off. Surfaces can be cleaned efficiently with a minimum of mechanical work. <5% nonionic surfactants, <5% anionic surfactants, builders, phosphoric, acid, dye, and water. ph: Concentrate: Ready-to-use-solution: Dilute 1:20 to 1:100 with water and apply. Box of 2 x 10 litres. FEUCHT/DAMP If the material that has been affected by corrosion was constructed with very fine tolerances that have to be maintained as is the case with many machine parts, we recommend the use of our Complex Deruster. It uses a mild acid which works slower but only removes the rust, no more. 7

Complex Deruster, Art. 979 Product type/use: Mild rust remover for the restoration of metal and machine parts. Product Information: Complex Deruster is a weakly acidic cleaner based on citric acid for mild derusting action. It is used everywere there are high demands on tolerances of metals and metal parts. <5% nonionic surfactants, <5% NTA, perfume, acid, and water. ph: Concentrate: Ready-to-use-solution: Dilute 1:1 to 1:5 with water and apply. max. 50 C For the special case of cleaning, derusting and conserving machine parts in a row of baths we have a series of products that where developed just for this purpose. When restoring machine parts the first and often most important step is to prevent (further) corrosion. as quickly as possible. This is achieved with our Conserver which has water displacing properties, replacing any moisture on the surface with a protective, conserving oil. This ensures that the metal surface is protected from any further corrosion until treatment is commenced. Conserver, Art. 974 Product type/use: Specialty product for protection from corrosion during temporary storage in the restoration process. Product Information: Conserver is a corrosion inhibitor and water displacer. After the solvent evaporates it leaves behind a protective film for temporary storage. With one litre of Conserver approximately m 2 surface may be protected. 30% aliphatic hydrocarbons, 5-15% nonionic surfactants, 5-15% anionic surfactants, plant-based oils. ph: Concentrate: not applicable Ready-to-use-solution: not applicable Apply undiluted. max. 50 C If the metal parts are only contaminated with soot and no chloride contamaination or rust is present, the series of baths may begin with our Cold Cleaner. This cleans the metal parts without any water coming in contact with them. Afterwards they are placed in a bath with Conserver to protect them from corrosion during temporary storage prior to reassembly/reuse. Cold Cleaner, Art Product type/use: Solvent-based metal cleaner. Product Information: A solvent-based metal and surface cleaner. For the effective removal of soot, dust, oil, and fat on metals and metallic surfaces. 30% aliphatic hydrocarbons. ph: Concentrate: not applicable Ready-to-use-solution: not applicable Apply undiluted. max. 50 C If the metal parts show evidence of corrosion, a treatment in baths on a water-basis may no longer be avoided. In this case possible chloride contamination has to be considered as well. If this is the case, then the series of baths is complemented with a bath of Smoke Clean solution, followed by a water bath for rinsing. In any case the row of baths begins with a bath of Steel Clean, a highly concentrated degreaser and rust remover. Steel Clean, Art. 951 Product type/use: Intensive cleaner and rust remover for stainless steel and other metals. Product Information: A weak-foaming phosphoric acid-based cleaner for the removal of contaminants on stainless steel surfaces. Steel Clean has strong rust and water-residue removing abilities. 5-15% nonionic surfactants, <5% anionic surfactants, phosphoric acid, solvents, corrosion inhibitor, and water. ph: Concentrate: Ready-to-use-solution: Apply undiluted or dilute up to 1:50 with water and apply. max. 50 C 8

This is followed by a water bath for rinsing, in the case of chloride contamination with a bath of Smoke Clean, followed by a water bath for rinsing, and finally a bath of Conserver. Phosphatizers When treating metal surfaces and materials that contain iron and that have been affected by corrosion it may sometimes be desired to phosphatize the surface. This results in the formation of a protective layer of iron phospahte on the surface. This surface is then ready and suitable for receiving a layer of protective paint. We have a product in our programme that has phosphatizing properties - a manual phosphatizer, Manophos. Manophos, Art. 938 Product type/use: Rust remover, degreaser, bonderizer. Product Information: A strong, acidic cleaner with high rust, soil, and fat removing abilities. This product may also be used as a manual bonderizer. Phosphoric acid, solvents, corrosion inhibitor, and water. ph: Concentrate: Ready-to-use-solution: depends on dilution ratio See label or Product Data Sheet. max. 50 C Restoration of Electronic Components For the special case of restoring electronic compionents such as panels or even electric circuit boxes/panels there are two possible manners in which to proceed. Here too, chloride contamination determines the path. If chloride contamination is present one has to work with a water-based system and applies our Electro Cleaner-W. Electro Cleaner-W, Art. 941 Product type/use: Water-based cleaner for electronic parts in fire damage restoration. Product Information: Alkaline water-based specialty cleaner for electronic parts. This product is used instead of Electro Cleaner-O whenever chloride contamination is present. <5% anionic surfactants, 5-15% nonionic surfactants, perfume, builders, solvents, complexing agents, and water. ph: Concentrate: Ready-to-use-solution: Dilute 1:6 to 1:30 with water and apply. max. 50 C If chloride contamination is negligible then one can work water-free. This also has the advantage that the electrical components do not have to be dried with considerable effort and expense but may be put to use immediately after being processed. The product for this is our Electro Cleaner-O which is not only water-free but also contains no electricity conducting ingredients. This saves the costly step of drying - usually vacuum drying - which is unavoidable when working on an aqueous basis. Electro Cleaner-O, Art. 944 Product type/use: Non-conducting cleaner for electronic parts in fire damage restoration. Product Information: Solvent-based specialty cleaner for electronic parts. Its formulation makes it non-conductive thereby allowing time-saving application (no complete drying necessary) when chloride contaminations are not present. 30% aliphatic hydrocarbons. ph: Concentrate: not applicable Ready-to-use-solution: not applicable Apply undiluted. max. 25 C Fixation/Sealing In case the areas or surfaces that are contaminated with soot are difficult or impossible to access for proper removal there is a possibilty of fixating and sealing the soot in place. This effectively means that the soot is permanently attached to the surface so that it cannot be come airborne, as well as being sealed in so that any odour possibly arising from it can no longer be perceived. Both of these jobs are carried out when applying our Soot Fix. 9

SootFix, Art. 955 Product type/use: Soot binder. Product Information: Loose soot is fixated by applying Soot Fix. Smearing and circulation of soot is thereby prevented. This is especially advantageous in areas where removal is difficult or not possible. Perfume (cinnamaldehyde, citronellol, d-limonene, geraniol), acrylates, solvents, wetting agents, and water. ph: Concentrate: Ready-to-use-solution: not applicable Apply undiluted - approx. 1 litre for 10 m 2. NASS/WET Detail Cleaning After restoration cleaning is complete it may occur that some surfaces have slight residues, sometimes even greasy, that still need to be removed. Sometimes some surfaces are only slightly contaminated, chloride residues being negligible, where a simple surface cleaner may be sufficient. For this purpose we developed our Standard Detail Cleaner. This product may be used as a glass cleaner undiluted or it may be diluted and used on all water-resistant surfaces as a detail cleaner. Standard Detail Cleaner, Art Product type/use: Detail cleaner for all water-resistant surfaces in fire damage restoration. Product Information: This product with its gentle but effective ingredients may be used for touch-up or final detail cleaning on all water resistant surfaces. Standard Detail Cleaner removes dust, grease and more from glass and other hard surfaces like window frames, lacquered surfaces, plastic coated furniture, lamps, etc. Wetting agent, alcohol, glycol, dye, and water. ph: Concentrate: Ready-to-use-solution: Apply undiluted or dilute 1:5 to 1:10 with water. Finally there may be some areas that only need a simple cleaning, no restorative effort being required. In this case a neutral cleaner with a pleasant scent for use on all water-resistant surfaces is required. This demand is fulfilled by our Neutral Cleaner with lemon scent. Neutral Cleaner, Art Product type/use: Neutral cleaner with a pleasant, fresh lemon scent. Product Information: A cleaner for lightly soiled, water-resistant surfaces. The neutral ph-value ensures gentle cleaning, the high content of surface active agents results in a high yield. <5% nonionic surfactants, <5% anionic surfactants, perfume, dye, and water. ph: Concentrate: Ready-to-use-solution: Dilute up to 1:100 with water and apply. FEUCHT/DAMP NASS/WET Odour Control As mentioned in our introduction in most cases after restorative cleaning has been completed odour neutralization has to be performed. One may choose between two possibilities: thermal fogging of a suitable product as well as possibly cold/wet fogging with an appropriate product or just ozone treatment. If the choice fell on thermal fogging and there are diffcult to reach areas one may complement this with cold/wet fogging into these areas. The proper choices for these procedures are Dry Fog Kill Odor for thermal fogging and Wet Fog Kill Odor for cold/wet fogging. 10

Dry Fog - Apple, Flower, Kill Odor, Mint, Pine, Lemon, Art. 926, 921, 922, 923, 924, 925 Product type/use: Formerly Air Neutralizer - Dry. Odour neutralizer for the air applied by thermal fogging. Product Information: This solvent-based product is used with thermal foggers, like the TM-1500B. Piece Oil Damage Restoration When contamination arises from heater oil there are several different aspects to the problem that need to be solved. First of all a general removal of the heater oil is necessary. It is an advantage if this removal is as complete as possible - at the same time it would be advantageous if this went hand in hand with recuperating the heater oil. This property has to be combined with the cleanup, which makes it a two-edged sword. Our OEL 100A performs well in both aspects. The cleaning result is excellent and the recuperating function is also excellent as long as the emulsion that is formed short term is not stabilized by other contaminants. In this way the heater oil is recovered and the amount of contaminated water/oil mixture is reduced considerably reducing costs and sparing the environment. OEL 100A, Art Product type/use: Oil/Oil heater damage restoration product. Product Information: OEL 100A makes an effective removal on a variety of surfaces possible followed by complete separation and efficient disposal. This product is a fast emulsifier but the emulsion is only stable for a brief time. This allows for an effective removal of the oil with easy separation and suitable disposal. 5-15% nonionic surfactants and water. ph: Concentrate: Ready-to-use-solution: Dilute 1:50 to 1:100 with water. After successful cleanup the only remaining issue is odour contamination. This is more or less difficult to reduce, depending on whether or not the oil has penetrated porous surfaces. If this is not the case, ozone treatment (see generators on previous page) is the preferable method to apply for successful odour control. 12

If the oil has penetrated porous material odour neutralization is more difficult and complete success is unlikely. However, with the help of microorganisms the odour contamination may be reduced considerably, in many cases down to an acceptable level - from a health perspective as well as from the perspective of odour perception. This is possible by using our BioSeptic. It is important to note that the treated surfaces or areas have to remain moist as the microorganisms contained in BioSeptic need moisture to work and survive. BioSeptic, Art Product type/use: Microbiological water treatment for non-agressive treatment of waste water. Product Information: A bioenzymatic product which clears and cleans waste water. The use of microorganisms ensures a biological degradation of the contaminants. This cleared water may then be disposed in the sewer. <5% nonionic surfactants, enzymes, perfume (cinnamaldehyde, citronellol, d-limonene, geraniol), microorganisms, builders, dye, and water. ph: Concentrate: Ready-to-use-solution: After water damage wet areas generously. For septic tanks approx. 1 litre for 500 litres. Box of 12 x 1 litre. NASS/WET Water Damage Restoration After water damage a first step involving disinfectant is of great importance. This is independent of the fact whether or not the water damage was caused by fresh water, moisture/humidity, or sewage (feces). After a period of time bacteria and mould/mildew begins to grow and multiply. These may not only cause substantial damage but also pose a risk to health. As a result a first measure involving a suitable biocide is absolutely necessary. Specifically for this situation we developed Kill Odor T. It is based on regrowable natural ingredients and is available as a ready-to-use solution. The user needs no protective equipment as the product is not hazardous and the ready-to-use formulation eliminates the possibility of over- or underdosing the product. Kill Odor T, Art Product type/use: User friendly odour neutralizer especially suited after water damage. Product Information: A highly effective odour neutralizer based on natural ingredients. Kill Odor T is non-toxic, leaves behind a pleasant scent and has a multitude of uses, especially in water damage restoration. Emulsion of thyme oil and tea tree oil in water. ph: Concentrate: Ready-to-use-solution: not applicable Apply undiluted. NASS/WET Kill Odor T may be used on all water-resistant surfaces. It is highly effective against many types of mould/mildew, bacteria, and viruses. At the same time its active ingredients emit an intense odour which, especially after water damage with sewage involved or older water damage, gives immediate relief and neutralizes these odours. Fot treatment of water which is contaminated with bacteria and which cannot or should not be disposed of or for the case where one does not want to or cannot work with biocides there is an alternative: fighting bacteria with bacteria. BioSeptic, which was already introduced in the last section, Oil Damage Restoration (previous page), is also highly effective in this situation. The bacteria contained in this product are very versatile and thus able to reproduce rapidly. This leads to a shortage in supply of nutrients for the other bacteria, in essence starving them and leading to their death. In effect one has achieved the same effect as with a biocide. One restriction has to be mentioned at this point, however: this process takes much longer than the application of a biocide. 13

For the treatment of textile flooring, upholstery and textiles we have Ultra Fresh as an immediately effective pre-treatment before cleaning or washing. Ultra Fresh, Art. 970 Product type/use: Pre-treatment for rugs if affected by mould, moths, mites, etc. Product Information: This product has the special characteristic to stop the growth of odour causing bacteria, fungi, moths and mites. These properties make it ideal to destroy odours in carpets caused by overwetting. The product is used as a pre-treatment before cleaning/washing the carpet/rug. <5% nonionic surfactants, perfume, organic solvents, tea tree oil, and water. ph: Concentrate: Ready-to-use-solution: not applicable Spray onto carpet/rug undiluted prior to cleaning/washing. 1 litre of Ultra Fresh is sufficient for up to 10 m 2 of carpet/rug. Last but not least: after water damage drying is essential as the last step. This may be assisted by condense dryers or blowers. With the help of our Turbo Dryer and an adequate condense dryer this process is accomplished effectively. In addition we also have the powerful Electric Fan for assisting in the movement of air not only during drying but also during ozone treatment. Turbo Dryer, Art. 470 The Turbo Dryer is an irreplaceable tool for the carpet and upholstery cleaner. Fast drying prevents browning and bleeding of colours. Technical Information: Motor Air flow Voltage Dimensions Weight 4.7 amp, 3 stages max. 3,180 m 3 /hour 230 V, 50/60 Hz 46 x 41 x 46 cm 12.5 kg Adapter for Turbo Dryer, Art. 475 To have the ability to give the air flow up to 3 directions. 14
