Thank you to all the parents and catechists, Fr. Cliff and Fr. Lauro for helping them prepare for this celebration. If your child did not have an opportunity to participate in last weeks First Reconciliation services please contact the Faith Formation office. Donations Needed Elementary Faith Formation and St. Mark School are collecting items for the St. Michael Society, a group that puts together care packages and prays for deployed troops. Items Needed: Beef Jerky, cans of nuts, dried fruit, crunchy granola bars, individual drink mixes (powder), gum, hard candy, puzzle books, and cards. Items can be left with the Faith Formation office support team during class times on Sunday and Wednesday. Happy Thanksgiving! This dinner is our way of saying Thank You for all that the Altar Servers have done for our parish community. Computer Refurbishing Used CPUs (especially Pentium 4 or equivalent and newer), monitors, printers, scanners, fax machines, pointing devices (mice) as well as CDs and DVDs are being accepted for donation to the Computers for the Blind organization. Non-functioning pointing devices (mice) and keyboards as well as used CDs and DVDs may be left in the flag box in the Usher s Room for recycling for Special Olympics. Flags and Electronics Recycling for Special Olympics Unserviceable flags continue to be collected in the flag box which is now located inside the Usher s Room at the rear of the old Narthex. If you are not familiar with the location of the Usher s Room, please ask an usher for directions. Used cell phones, inkjet cartridges, digital cameras, camcorders, and hand held electronic games can also be placed in this box. The flags will be disposed of in a proper manner. All electronic equipment will be recycled by an environmentally responsible company and the proceeds from the recycling will be donated to Special Olympics. Special Note: If you see a flag on a business establishment that is in need of replacement, please talk with the store manager, thank him for flying the Stars and Stripes, and ask that the unserviceable flag be replaced and given to you. You should then place the flag into the flag box identified above. The flag is the symbol of our nation and it is important that it be displayed and maintained properly. MARK CATHOLIC SCHOOL We Care Ministry Open House TODAY at 2:30PM We are excited to announce our Kick Off meeting for all those who are considering joining our We Care program! We have many volunteers who have graciously stepped up to be Care Managers and are looking forward to meeting you. Please come to our meeting TODAY at 2:30PM in McGivney Hall in the Parish Center. Our guest speaker, Mr. Jim Boyle, will outline the preparation of a Living Will and answer legal questions regarding regular wills, medical forms and other related legal concerns. Jim is a St. Mark Parishioner and has been practicing law for over 30 years. We will complete our meeting by 4:30PM. We look forward to seeing you! Light refreshments will be available. The Focolare Movement is a vast ecclesial movement in the Catholic Church whose spirituality of unity is based on Jesus priestly prayer, May they all be one (Jn 17:21). Members of the Focolare Movement will be at our parish at masses this weekend to introduce you to the Movement which tries to live the gospel from the point of unity in the families and in society.
