Name of Educational & Other Qualifications No. the Post 01 Professor For GENERAL DISCIPLINES: EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Essential for Medical Candidates: (i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part- II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 13 (3) of the Act. (ii) A Post Graduate qualification e.g. MD/MS (Doctor of Medicine and Master of Surgery) or a recognised qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject/ allied discipline. Essential for Non-Medical Candidates: (i) A Postgraduate qualification i.e. Masters Degree in the concerned subject/allied discipline. (ii) A Doctorate degree from a recognised University in the respective subject/allied discipline. Note: The respective subject/allied discipline should be as in the Table-I of Schedule I of the MCI- Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, Experience: (i) Four years teaching experience as Reader/Associate Professor in a recognized medical college in the concerned speciality. *** OR (ii) Three years teaching experience as Associate Professor in the concerned speciality in a recognized medical college with minimum of four research publications in indexed/national journals provided that these research publications are published/accepted for publications in the Journals by the National Associations/Societies of the respective specialities as the First Author.

4 (iii) (iv) Further provided that the requirement of 4 research publications for promotion to the post of Professor should be taken on cumulative basis with minimum of 2 research publications must be published during the tenure of the Associate Professor. Qualification with regard to experience are relaxable at the discretion of Selection Board in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. The qualification regarding experience are relax able at the discretion of the Selection Board in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes and if at any stage of selection Board is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill of the vacancies reserved for them. NOTE (1) The experience should be recognized by the MCI or the statutory body concerned with the system of medicine as valid teaching experience for teaching posts and certificate thereof or any other valid proof in support thereof should be submitted and a certificate to this effect is to be submitted. NOTE (2) Teaching experience in any other post like the post of General Duty Medical Officer shall not be considered for eligibility purpose for recruitment to teaching posts. 02 Associate Professor For GENERAL DISCIPLINES: EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Essential for Medical Candidates: (i) (ii) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 13 (3) of the Act. The experience should be recognized by the MCI or the statutory body concerned with the system of medicine as valid teaching experience for teaching posts and certificate thereof or any other valid proof in support thereof should be submitted and a certificate to this effect is to be submitted. Note: The respective subject/allied discipline should be as in the Table-I of Schedule I of the MCI- Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, Experience: (i) For the candidates possessing MD/MS (Doctor of Medicine and Master of Surgery) Degree from MCI recognized medical colleges: Three years teaching experience in the subject as Resident/Registrar/Demonstrator/Tutor in a recognized medical college either during the post-graduate course or after obtaining postgraduate degree in the subject. (ii) For the candidates possessing DNB qualification from MCI recognized medical colleges/central institutes where the no MD/MS course running: Three years teaching experience in the subject in a recognized medical college either during the DNB course or after possessing DNB qualification. The concerned candidate would also require one year of additional teaching/research experience in the concerned subject in a recognized medical college after obtaining DNB qualification. (iii) For candidates possessing DNB qualification from MCI recognized medical colleges/central institutes where there are MD/MS course running: Three years

6 teaching experience in the subject in a recognized medical college either during the DNB course or after obtaining DNB qualification. (iv) (v) (vi) (vii) For the candidates possessing DNB qualification from centers other than of MCI recognized medical colleges/central institutes: Three years teaching experience in the subject either during the DNB course or after possessing DNB qualification. The concerned candidate would require two years additional teaching experience as Sr. Resident/Research Associate (CSIR) in a MCI recognized medical college/central institute. Research Experience : For the candidates obtaining DNB qualification from centers other than MCI recognized medical colleges/central institutes, the concerned candidate should have minimum two publications (accepted/published) in the index journal (National/International as first/second author). In case the concerned candidate does not have the required publication, he /she must have a total of three years teaching experience in a recognized college/central institute after possessing DNB qualification. Qualification with regard to experience is relaxable at the discretion of Selection Board in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. The qualification regarding experience are relaxable at the discretion of the Selection Board in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes and if at any stage of selection Board is of the opinion that sujfficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be avail able to fill of the vacancies reserved for them. B. AGE LIMIT: Not exceeding 67 years as on last date for receipt of online application for all posts and categories. C. PAY & ALLOWANCES: 1. ESIC has adopted recommendation of 6 th Central Pay Commission. Pay (Pay in pay Band plus grade pay) and other allowances shall be paid as admissible. 2 The retired Government Officers shall be paid emoluments in accordance with the rules in force as on date. 3. Other candidates appointed on contractual basis will be paid Pay at the initial stage i.e. initial Pay of the relevant Pay Band plus Grade pay and other allowances as per rules of the Corporation. 4. Pay as on date (Pay in Pay Band+Grade 25% (as admissible) in different categories is as under: Pay Professor (PB-4 +GP 8700/- +NPA) Associate Professor (PB-3+GP 7600/-+NPA) Assistant Professor (PB-3+GP 6600/+NPA) 5. In addition to above, other allowances like D.A., HRA etc. would be payable as admissible. 6. No Private practice is allowed during the tenure of service in ESIC. 7. Retirees from Central/State Govt./PSU from the equivalent posts are eligible to apply. Persons working in recognized/approved Private Medical Institutions fulfilling eligibility criteria for the post may also apply. 8. The candidates have to attach the self attested copies of all the relevant certificates/testimonials on support of date of birth, category, sub-category i.e. educational qualification, teaching experience, Pension Payment Order (PPO), etc. with the print out of online application and have to produce originals thereof at the time of interview.

Term of Contract:- Selected candidates shall be appointed on purely contractual basis for an initial period of one year extendable for another one year subject to requirement and satisfactory performance. Extension beyond Two years or on attainment of 70 years of age whichever is earlier shall not be given. E. (i) Amount of Application Fee:- S. Selection Procedure: (i) All eligible candidates should apply in the application format ONLINE only on or before the last date for submission of online application. Hard copy of online applications received after the last date of submission of Hard Copies of online application will not be considered. (iii) Selection will be made on the basis of interview which will be conducted by the ESIC Selection Board. The list of candidates called for interview and venue of interview shall be uploaded on ESIC website.. The result of the interview shall be published and uploaded on the web site of ESI Corporation and no inquiry or correspondence in this regard will be entertained. Information regarding the candidates called for interview shall be available on the website of the ESIC Call letters for appearing before the Interview Board shall be given through Speed Post/ at the id provided by the candidate in the application. (iv) The selection of the candidates shall be on the basis of their performance in the interview only. G. (b) Self attested copies of certificates and testimonials in support of proof of age, Educational qualification, Experience, Publications, sub-category etc. (c) Self attested copy of Community Status Certificate in the prescribed form in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC certificate/declaration shall have to be as per Annexure A & B. (d) Certificate issued by competent medical board in respect of Persons with Disabilities. Those candidates who are employed in Govt./Semi Govt. /Autonomous bodies etc. should sent their system generated hard copy of online application Through Proper Channel. However, they may send an advance copy of their system generated hard copy of online application along with demand draft and other certificates and testimonials before the last date. Note 1:- The system generated hard copy of application and the other documents should be arranged in the following order one below the other and tightly tagged or stapled on the left hand side top corner. 1. Application Form. 2. Self Attested copies of certificates. Note 2:-The Demand Draft should not be tagged or stapled, but should be pinned or clipped at the top of the application form. The name, address and post applied for should be written on the reverse side of the Demand Draft. H. General Conditions:- (i) (ii) (iii) (iv) (v) The crucial date for determining the age limit and other eligibility criteria shall be the closing date for receipt of online applications from candidates in India i.e 28 th January Mere submission of application does not confer any right to the candidate for being called for interview. A candidate should submit only one application for one post. In case candidate wants to apply for more than one post then he should apply separately for each post. Similarly if a candidate wants to apply for more than one ESIC Medical Education Institution, he should apply for each Institution separately. In case of application received Incomplete or Unsigned application or the application received without copies of mark sheets /certificates of educational qualification,experience, application fee, caste certificate and photographs and those received after the last date of receipt of application ESIC reserves the right to decide about such applications. Wrong declarations/submission of false information or any other action contrary to law shall lead to cancellation of the candidature at any stage.

9 (vi) Only system generated hard copy of online application with unique serial number (through website of ESIC at should be submitted along with other supporting documents. Candidates can generate / submit their online application up to 28 th January, 2015 (up to 5.00 PM). The link of making online application will not be available after PM on 28 th January, (vii) Application should be sent in a cover super-scribed Application for the post of for ESIC PGIMSR and ESIC Medical College, (Name of the ESIC Medical Education Institute for which the candidate wants to apply) preferably by Speed Post so as to reach at the address mentioned above on or before the stipulated date. The Corporation takes no responsibility for any delay in receipt or losses in postal transit of any application or communication. Before applying for the post the candidate should ensure that he / she fulfils the eligibility criteria mentioned above. The Corporation would be free to reject any application at any stage of selection process if the candidate is found ineligible for the post for which he/she has applied. The selection for the above posts will be on the basis of interview which will be conducted by the Selection Board. The result of the interview shall be published uploaded on the website of the Corporation and no inquiry or correspondence in this regard will be entertained. Fee once paid is not refundable. Canvassing in any form will be disqualification. Disqualification No person:- (a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or (b) Who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person; shall be eligible for appointment to the said posts. Provided that the Director General may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this Regulation.
