9 History of TV digitization SATELLITE OPERATORS CABLE OPERATORS TERRESTIAL BROADCAST Created a digital platform Wizja TV in 1998 Since then, the digitization of satellite households reached 100% Cable operators have started digitization in 2005 Today 60% their subscribers use digital access The first DVB-T tests in 2001, but the regular emission starts in 2011 Analog emissions ended in July

16 The Digital Agenda for Europe (DAE) aims to reboot Europe's economy and help Europe's citizens and businesses to get the most out of digital technologies. The DAE contains specific goals which encapsulate the change we want to achieve. e.g: the entire EU to be covered by broadband above 30 Mbps by % of the EU to subscribe to broadband above100 Mbps by % of the population to buy online by % of the population to buy online cross-border by 2015
