1 INSTRUCTIONS FOR SETTING UP AN ONLINE MEAL PAYMENT ACCOUNT WITH LUNCH PREPAY New User Registration To set up a new user account, go to and click on New User at the top left of the LunchPrepay Welcome page, then click Start Registration. State: Select the state first. District: Select the school district where the students are enrolled. When the district is selected, the chart showing fees for that district will be displayed. User Name: Enter a User Name for your LunchPrepay parent account. This is required and will be used only for LunchPrepay correspondence. Password: Required for security.

2 Name, Address, Phone: This is the parent's contact information, in case we need to reach a parent and is not available. First and last name are required. Address and phone are requested but not required. User Type: Premium or Basic. The chart shows the features and costs. Basic users can upgrade to Premium at any time. Terms of Use: The user must agree to Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Register Me will bring up the payment screen if an annual fee applies. Enter the credit card information. The information you enter here must match the credit card's billing information. If Save to Wallet is checked, it will save your credit card information so you won't have to re-type it every time you make a payment. (This feature is optional.) After the Registration is done, the next step is to Add Students under Manage Students (see below).

3 Manage Students This is where parents can Add or Delete students or modify student information. Then LunchPrepay will verify that the information provided is correct. Why do students need to be verified? This is done to insure that a POS account exists for this student and that the correct student gets credit for the payments. How to ADD students: Click Add New Student. Enter the Student Number (NC Wise Number), First Name and Last Name and select the School. The Student Number is their NC WISE number. Student Number and the student's Last Name must match the school records exactly. ***Please contact your child s school to request his/her NC Wise Number. Please note: The NC Wise Number IS NOT their lunch PIN. ***

4 Why do we require an exact match on last name and student number? For security, we require that the parent provide at least these two pieces of information. Then the verify feature can be used to fill in the first name and school. This makes the registration process easier if parents are not sure exactly how their child's first name is spelled in the school records, while still providing confidentiality. Then click Save and it will search for a matching student in the database. If a match is found, click Accept. It will be verified immediately and the account will be ready to accept payments. If no match is found, the student cannot be instantly verified. Be sure the Student Number and Last Name are entered correctly. LunchPrepay will automatically attempt to verify the student when the auto-updates run. If it is not verified with 24 hours, please refer to Verifying Students. Edit Existing Students:

5 Click the Edit button on that student's line. You will get a screen similar to the new student setup. Make your changes and click Save. You can also Delete students on the Edit screen. If a Student Number needs to be changed on a student that is already verified, you will need to delete that student and add as a new student. IMPORTANT NOTES: Money placed on the lunch prepay account will be used for meal purchases made in the cafeteria only. This money cannot be used for other fees that your child may have at school, such as year book, locker rental, field trips etc. Additionally, child nutrition will not provide students with cash from the lunch account at any time. The cafeteria manager does not have the ability to refund money that is placed on the account. If you leave the school district and need to receive remaining balances left on your child s account, please contact the Child Nutrition office at Lunch Prepay is a third party vendor providing online payment services. All service fees charged for using the online system are incurred by Lunch Prepay. Mount Airy City Schools does not receive any portion of the fees.
