13 Service Overview PTS provides information to law enforcement officers and prosecutors about individuals who have been granted a permit to carry a handgun. Sheriffs also may view denials. Prosecutor s Duty Sub 8a When person charged with prohibiting offense: Determine if person is a permit to carry holder Notify the issuing sheriff of charge Notify sheriff of final disposition
