10 Organizing with Folders Our approach to folders was to create a seamless and less troublesome way for staff to access assessments they should be paying attention to, giving, accessing, etc. This is also a great entry point for staff who are a little more tentative about technology and allows for them to always find what they need. Teachers can do this for themselves in "Personal Folders" We systematize at the district level.

12 Naming Conventions Our approach to naming any "common" assessment is to have the same structure so that they can sort by Title and like things are grouped together for them. DEMO

13 Summary Assessments Create your own summary assessments, map them, upload data. Just takes some time. Use your imagination we keep, Title service lists, intervention notes, qualitative data, conference information, virtually anything can be put in the system... then you can report on them. You will have to rely on DD for easily uploading assessments that have predetermined format (psst... ask them for directives for NWEA!)

14 Creating and Uploading We use for quick access to data that is otherwise not available in an easy way. If users have to go to EDS... they won't use.

15 Using ID Finder Use this utility if a data file you need to upload has the wrong type of ID, local or state. In Admin Tools/Import Tools/Import Utilities/Student ID Finder Upload a csv file with at least first, last and the state or local id. Map the fields and then click on "Students Found" This will be the same file with the student id's now ready to upload into DD.

17 Test Series Create Test Series for all common assessments per subject. Tutorials for Test Series in DataDirector help. Allows you to build a single report that will show multiple grades. This will make it easy for staff. DEMO
