The individual ability to negotiate and succeed is seen as additional quality which enhances managerial effectiveness. In all walks of life the skill to negotiate rationally and effectively is becoming a vital managerial asset. With the recognition of the need to enhance negotiation skills, Administrative Staff College of India has designed its Program on Negotiation Skills. The program is designed for executives and officials who operate in areas where they have to negotiate with various stakeholders. I do hope that your organization would take advantage of this opportunity by nominating your Senior Executives and officials to this program. Our experience over the years has shown that nominations in teams of 2 to 4 would facilitate the effective application of principles and insights acquired from the Program by the participants in their work situation. 3 In the present era of competitive business environment, the profitability and benefits greatly depend on the negotiation skills of the involved stakeholders. In addition to business conditions, we do negotiate, all the time, with colleagues, family members, friends and many others. In the contemporary world, understanding of negotiation process is important for achieving the desired and expected results. Individual skills in understanding and establishing relationship is crucial in his / her success or failure. The negotiating skills help individual in selling ideas, determining the price and other terms within and outside the organization. A person with good negotiation skills would resolve differences and promote collaboration. Negotiation process is widening its coverage and currently there are multiple national and international flora for negotiations. PROGRAM OBJECTIVES Facilitate understanding of the process of negotiation and individual role. Promote insight into preparing effective negotiation strategies for the best results. PROGRAM CONTENT Definition and process of negotiation. Laying foundation for successful negotiation. Collaborative approach and the importance of mindset. Role of human relations in negotiation. Bargaining for mutual benefit. Building of individual negotiating competencies. TARGET GROUP The program is suitable for senior and middle level executives and officials of Government, Public, Private and Service Sector Organisations including Banks from all functional areas of India and the neighbouring countries. VENUE The program is fully residential and the participants will be accommodated in single air-conditioned rooms. The College does not provide accommodation for the family. Transport between Airport/Railway Station and Venue will be arranged by the College. The Bella Vista Campus of the college is WiFi enabled in a comprehensive way DURATION The program duration is from Monday, August 24, 2015 to Wednesday, August 26, The participants are expected to arrive a day before the commencement and may leave after the conclusion of the program.

4 PROGRAM FEE Rs. 34,000/- (US $ 1495 for foreigners) plus Service Tax per participant will be charged to cover tuition, board and lodging, courseware (in electronic form) and other facilities of the College including Internet usage. Rs.28,000/- plus applicable Service Tax will be charged per Indian participant not availing hostel accommodation to cover tuition, course ware (in electronic form) working lunch and other facilities of the College including internet usage. A 5% concession on the Program fee is available to the sponsoring organizations ensuring payment into the College Bank account before the commencement of the Program. In addition, a discount of 10% is applicable to the second nominee onwards, from the same organization for this Program.
