16 THROUGHOUT OVER 75 YEARS OF ITS HISTORY THE HEAD ENTERPRISE OF THE CORPORATION, NIZHNY TAGIL URALVAGONZAVOD, HAS PRODUCED OVER ONE MILLION RAILCARS % The Corporation is a leader in cargo railcar building within the 1520 space, with its market share being 25%. Every third railcar on domestic railway lines has been manufactured by UVZ. Throughout over 75 years of its history the head enterprise of the Corporation, Nizhny Tagil Uralvagonzavod, has produced over one million railcars. In 2012 Uralvagonzavod manufactured approximately 28 thousand of rolling stock units, which is the highest achievement not only for Russian and CIS railcar building, but also for the global one. Every year several new rolling stock models go into serial production. Currently Uralvagonzavod is the only railcar building enterprise within the 1520 space commercially producing new generation model gondola cars based on bogies with axle load of 25 ton-forces and run-life increased to 500 thousand kilometers. The next step will be development of modified model gondola cars based on bogies with cab volume increased to 94 cubic meters. Currently railway networks are operating over 1.5 thousand gondola cars.

17 THE CORPORATION FOCUSES ON EXPANDING TANK CARS AND SPECIALIZED ROLLING STOCK UNITS MODEL LINEUP NEW PRODUCT MODELS: Tank cars for transportation of liquefied hydrocarbon gases with barrel volume increased to 86 cubic meters; Mineral hopper cars with detachable roof manufactured either of metal or composite material. Detachable roof accelerates service and maintenance, and use of composite materials generally allows to increase roof useful life significantly and prevent corrosion; Hopper cars with a composite tank volume of 130 cubic meters; Cement hopper cars with a cargo capacity of 73 tons and original design tank for maximum cement friability during unloading. One of the key UVZ innovative products is TMV-2. It is a universal vehicle with combined wheel and rail drivetrain designed for moving railcars around industrial enterprises and repair depots. It is a viable alternative to diesel-locomotive shunters capable of delivering and ensuring operation of hydroficated tools and equipment for operative repairs and removing defects of railway tracks and junctions, and in the course of special and emergency recovery works. Tests demonstrate that TMV-2 traction effort allows to move up to 22 empty railcars or tank cars along the tracks. UVZ development plans also focus on large-scale reconstruction of the existing production facilities, within the framework of which it is planned to commission unique modern equipment and introduce innovative technologies designed to increase quality and competitiveness of the Corporation s rolling stock products at Russian and global markets by several times. 14

Special Machinery Division s mission is leadership in development, manufacture, sales and support of armament complexes and military machinery and property for ensuring national security of the Russian Federation based on consolidation of scientific and technical potential, continuous innovation, enhanced military and technical cooperation and application of the best global practices. 15

The production is carried out on the precision machinery of the leading Russian and European manufacturers with application of modern metalworking technologies. One of the recent achievements in the area of the civil machine manufacturing is execution of the joint projects with the world leaders in the spheres of light rail transport and subway, pipe-laying machines, mobile drilling units. A new generation tram for Moscow transport network has been developed: by 2015, the capital will be already equipped with more than 100 modern low-floor tramcars. The advanced developments of UVZ designers attracted the attention of the largest enterprises of the military industrial complex, and nowadays the Road-Building Machinery Division of UVZ produces road-building machinery for the needs of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. A special design system developed with consideration of the military specifics of the customer was used for decoration of the exterior and painting of the excavators, loaders, bulldozers and other construction machinery.
