2 YOUTH Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. Nelson Mandela Szent-Györgyi Szent-Györgyi Youths can be those individuals who have already achieved exceptional successes as secondary school pupils at domestic and international natural sciences competitions, and are determined to become researchers one day. Szent-Györgyi Youths are selected based on teacher recommendations, and as preliminary members of the Szeged Scientist Academy, they have the opportunity to get more acquainted with the scientific activities of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Szeged and the Biological Research Centre of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. In their last two years of secondary school, Szent-Györgyi Youths are allowed to visit the research laboratories of, Szent-Györgyi Mentors they can attend the Academy s programmes and summer camps, and they can meet renowned, Nobel Prize-winning researchers. At the same time, they come to know and love the wonderful city of Szeged as well. Szent-Györgyi Youths can become Szent-Györgyi Students if they choose the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Szeged after finishing secondary school, and as medical students, they apply for the first academic year of the Szeged Scientist Academy. After their successful admission, they have the opportunity to be a part of a 20-year programme that nurtures talent and provides reliable career prospects via creating a widespread network of domestic and international connections. As a result, Szent-Györgyi Youths can one day become outstanding and significant researchers of Hungarian science. Currently there are 88 Szent-Györgyi Youths in the programme from various parts of the country, such as Szeged, Gyöngyös, Szolnok, Debrecen, Hódmezővásárhely and Budapest, and their mutual goal is to become scientists, to become researchers.

That is the reason why I had started to learn them both in increased number.of hours. My current goal is to get into the SZTE ÁOK, so I will be able to engage with genetics and its disorders. In particular, exploring them. My hopes are that I will research something lasting, something that I can help people in living a better life. Besides, I am interested in languages too. I have a C1 level language exam in English. but I can make others understand me in German too. Also I ve been learning Finnish since this summer, and this year I started studying Latin in school. I have a C1 level C type language exam.

Since primary school I am studying english on an advanced level as well as fench on an intermediate level since secondary school. I can communicate with people easily, even in difficult situations, I m a open minded and outgoing person, I love spending time with my friends, and being outside. I am fond of biology, and I really enjoy being creative (for example painting, taking photos, research on my interests). I like other subjects as well, my strength among them is finding the relations and thinking logically, I can make things clear and interesting to my classmates. I took part on an intensive biologycal summer camp for the Gifted of the program of MATEHETSZ. There I participated wide variety of interesting presentations at MTA SZBK. After final examination I would like to study in a medical school because I am interested in biology and chemistry.

Thanks to the science we get to know new cures, which can help us with curing the incurable diseases. In my view it s amazing. I chose this branch, because I would like to be a researcher or a doctor. Inside biology I m opened to every discipline. I d like to specialize in the nature of seas or I d research the people s incurable diseases with pleasure in the future. I m sure we need lots of diligence and curiosity to our succes. I took part in the Dr. Árokszállásy Zoltán National Biology and Environmental Competition when I was in the eighth year of the primary school and the first and second year of the grammar school. When I attended the primary school, I got into the finals and I became the twelfth. In the second year of the grammar school I became the eleventh. Im my opinion this competition is very complex, because students have to know a lot about biology and ecology. This year I am going to take part in a national academic competition in biology for students in grammar school. (called OKTV ). English/advanced German/intermediate

I have already been interested in biology since my primary school and I have taken part in some biology competititons. I am particularly interested in life function and behaviour of animals. As a result I would like to be a vet or a biologist in my future. I would like to specialize in mysterious life of seas and oceans or as I am a twin I would like to study the twins life. In my opinion curiosity in biology and diligence are essential to be succesful in our life. When I was in the first and the second year of Miklós Radnóti Grammar School I took part in Dr. Árokszállásy Zoltán National Biology and Environmental Competition. Last year I got into the finals. I became the 13th in this competiton.(when I was in the eighth year of primary school I became 15th in it.) This competition was eager to get know the biological knowledge of the competitors.the students had to kown about the viruses, the human body and its functions, the environment, the ecology and the National Parks of Hungary. This year I am going to take part in a national academic competition in biology for students in grammar school. (called OKTV ). English/advanced German/intermediate

I liked to go outside to examine plants and animals just for fun. By now, this became my hobby, and also, bilogy became my favorite subject. I study a lot to achieve this, and I also accept plus work. During the last school year, I took part in a program called : Tehetséghidak Program, which was organised in my school.
