The program had been funded by the School District for the previous fourteen years and was dropped in a drastic round of budget cutting. We were able to fund the program ourselves for four years until the board refunded MUN as the economy improved. The Foundation has become essential to maintain all the "extra" programs and activities at Clairemont. The Foundation provides scholarships to student for high school enrichment activities and for college. We support athletics including funding sports that are unfunded by the school district. We help the band, drill team and drama departments. We support our student leaders, journalists, public speakers and spirit teams. The Foundation is the repository of the collection and displays of the Museum of the American Presidency. The Foundation board is made up of parents and staff members elected to two-year terms. We are always searching for new members for our Foundation Board. The current officers of the foundation are: President Nevin Kleege - parent of two current students Vice-President Colleen Kleege parent of two current students Secretary Gerrie Trussell - parent of one current student Treasurer Paula Cunningham - parent of one grad and one current student
