2 Air outlets airhandlers in a yacht INTRODUCTION TO CLION-MARINE With over 20 years of experience in mobile climate systems (marine, automotive, military etc.) a team of technical specialists came to the conclusion that the available marine airconditioning systems did not live up to the demands of boatbuilders and yacht owners. Available technologies like inverter technology (which is used in conventional air-conditioning systems) where introduced in marine airconditioning systems over a decade later! Noisy compressors with huge start loads and noisy fans (with poor airflow) were fitted in the most modern superyachts. We wanted to develop a reliable, high quality, easy to install and user friendly airconditioning system with great performance and with optimal climate comfort. This meant the beginning of Clion-Marine. Clion-Marine is born as a Joint-Venture between two companies who have proven therselves as mobile climate control specialists. All the ClionMarine systems are engineered, developed and produced within The Netherlands and Germany where quality is more than standard. 2

4 Example of a chiller system in a yacht CLION-MARINE CHILLER SYSTEMS The Clion-Marine chiller systems are reverse cycle inverter driven chillers. This means no peak load during the start-up and an automatic capacity modulation based on the demand of heat load. All the Clion-Marine chillers are made of a solid stainless steal housing which ensures an extreme silent operation and which looks very clean in every engine room. The completely EMC protected control box has a prewired cable loom and mounting bracket for easy installation near the chiller. If you re on low shore supply, pressing the ECO icon on the full colour touchscreen will limit the chillers electrical load. The status icon on the touchscreen will give you any information you need on water temperature (seawater in/out, chilled water in/out), status running mode and even the refrigerant pressure. The status screen is a very simple and unique tool for engineers to check the system status and will give any information needed for service and support. An ideal feature for engineers on bigger yachts to check the system. An external diesel heater or electrical heater can easily be integrated in the system. The connection for an external heater is standard provided in our control box. CENTRAL MONITORING SYSTEM All our chillers are standard equipped with a connection for easy integration with the central monitoring system on board. 6 Three different airhandlers CLION-MARINE AIRHANDLERS The Clion-Marine airhandlers are equipped with a high velocity, but very silent, boxblower with a DC speed control. Our airhandlers have a unique controlling system which guarantees an extremely short cool down time (when there is a high temperature on board). After reaching the setpoint the fans will modulate to an very silent operation with proper airflow. All controlboxes have automatic fuses and a prewired cable loom with connectors and prewired sensors for fast installation. Full colour displays with Vimar compatible bezels are standard to control the system. A unique status icon will give you all information you need on the chilled water temperature, setpoint, valve status etc. ideal for engineers on bigger yachts to check the system. When more capacity is needed, because of restricted ducting or small grills, the units can easily be upgraded by defining another type in the control system. This is also an advantage for interior designers when an existing boatdesign will be used in extreme climates. The capacity can easily be upgraded without changing the interior layout! 8 CLION-MARINE SELF CONTAINED SYSTEMS The Clion-marine SC-N self contained units are stand-alone operated units equipped with a high velocity, but very silent, boxblower with DC speedcontrol. Up to 3 air ducts can be connected to each unit, without the use of splitters. After reaching the setpoint the fans will modulate to an extremely silent operation with proper airflow. All controlboxes have automatic fuses and a prewired cable loom with connectors and prewired sensors for extreme fast installation. Full colour displays with Vimar compatible bezels are standard to control the system. A unique status icon gives you all information you need on the temperatures, setpoint, status etc.. SC-W WALL MOUNTED SELF CONTAINED UNIT. The unique SC-W wall mounted unit is an ideal solution to cool wheelhouses in commercial vessels, tenders etc. The solid slim stainless steel housing is designed for easy installation in the wheelhouse and has an integrated display. A double boxblower fan guarantees extremely high velocity air flow to distribute cooling through the entire wheelhouse. CENTRAL MONITORING.
