Netwrk Acceleratin wrks n all TCP traffic ging acrss the WAN, nt just n SAN traffic. Therefre, it is ften required even when the Brcade Optimized TCP functinality is used. The Brcade 7500 has its wn native IPSec encryptin capabilities. Hwever, if at all pssible yu shuld nt enable encryptin upstream f a WAN ptimizatin device. Upstream encryptin prevents the WAN ptimizatin devices frm having full visibility int paylad infrmatin, which minimizes their ability t utilize any f the ptimizatin techniques described abve. Visibility. Silver Peak prvides real-time and histrical analysis f WAN perfrmance, including detailed reprts n bandwidth, latency, and packet lss. 5 DEPLOYMENT Silver Peak NX appliances seamlessly integrate int Brcade envirnments. They are placed in each custmer site participating in the replicatin prcess, sitting between the Brcade 7500 Extensin Switch and the WAN ruter, as shwn in Figure 1. Deplyment can be in line, whereby Silver Peak NX appliances are inserted between the WAN ruter and the FCIP device.
