1 Business Intelligence in corporate information system with the application of IBM Cognos 8 BI This proposal is focused on the development of materials for a course in information systems with the emphasis on business analytics. The proposed course differs from those available via the IBM web site in that it provides a systematic view on the information system and how the business analysis integrates into it followed by decision making. This presentation of the material makes it attractive not only for the full-time students, but also for the industry as a tool for continuing professional education. Currently, urban expansion reduced to large number of resources that are need for the infrastructure of the city. Due to the increase of utilized resources the problem of the effective resources utilization in operations management of city systems is appeared. Operation of the city infrastructure is characterized by the implementation of information technologies. Howerever, this activity does not always use effectively management and valid decision-making, applying of possibilities in full measure. That is explained by the dissociation of information resources on different management levels. Today, all city systems are complex of associated information systems that provides citizens with necessary data, technologies and goods. Each specific area is characterized by the tendency to optimize the infrastructure performance and make the professional human activity more rational, adequate and easier on all levels of business organization. That is why it is so essential to introduce innovations in all sectors of production in the context of Smart City and provide the city both with technologies and qualified specialists that are able to make complex view of the organization process. Development of the course of study of modern software implementation in order to acquire knowledge of the relevant functions integration of corporate information system in various application areas is assumed. At present, information technologies are used practically in all branches of human professional activity. Timely and effectively decision making based on the estimation both of the existing environment and in the order of business strategic targets is becoming great significant problem. Activity of the IT specialist is directed to support economic operations, management units. IT-specialist executes all design works on the development and application of information system in all stages of its life cycle. Today, information internet resources are more and more actively utilized, modern information technologies and computing networks are appeared. That resulted in need for new specialists who can work with the modern software, computer networks, who can develop and use information systems in relation to the business specificity. System analysts who get knowledge in the system analysis, modern information technologies and subject area, for instance economics, are in high demand. Particularities of each specific subject field are considered in the information system development and its application in the city infrastructure. Complete solutions are applied on the basis of the experience of the information system application. Education of IT specialists in the different fields analysis is necessary for effective performance of the business organization and the decision-making process on operations management.

2 At present, companies have at their disposal a number of various information systems, howerever, the information and business-processes are still remain isolated. The information business intelligence elaborates capabilities of ERP corporate information systems. Howerever, the ERP- methodology and technology well operating on the transaction control do not solve problems of the tactical planning and are not applicable for strategic tasks. Tasks that lay out of functionality borders are solved by the spread of methodological, technological and instrumental tools of the information business intelligence. The interoperation of the information business intelligence and ERP information system facilitates provides the increase of the business efficiency and return on investment in the management engineering. At the moment, our department Automated management systems of Ufa State Aviation Technical University develops the new curriculum on the major Applied informatics in economics. In the process of curriculum development principles of course informatics study was considered, specified in following sources: 1. Computing Curricula 2001: Computer Science, IEEE, Federal state educational Highest Vocational Education Standard on major Applied informatics in economics, Recommendations of Ministry of Communications, 2010 In these documents principles of the study of the programming engineering are represented. The major Applied informatics is presented in various applied areas of the city infrastructure. With the development of corporate information systems, the severization of requirements to the specialists qualification and the expand of applied systems areas it is assumed to educate students of this major on the course Corporate information system according to new needs of large business organizations. In such a way, this course will be given in the relation of the business intelligence direction. Currently, the study of the programming engineering disciplines on this major is carried out in several gradual stages:

3 On each year of the study students learn principles and methods of the system modeling and development for computer-aided decision-making, monitoring and instrumental tools work with data due to the computer realization and the utilization of the existing software. Also, it is very essential to pay attention for students education on new approaches that are put in modern management system software. Application of the business intelligence integration for task solution for the implementation of corporate information system functions is one of the main parts of students education. Today, there is a large variety of methodological, technological and instrumental tools of the information business intelligence that are sought by lead russian and international companies in different sectors. Howerever, wide spread of these solutions is hold by lack of skilled personnel that causes high demand for business analysis specialists and their great demand in job market. For better study of the integration technology of the business intelligence in corporate information system is assumed to utilize IBM Cognos 8 BI software. Problems applicable to development of analytical processing systems, decision support system, consolidated reporting in various sectors are better solved by means of specialized BI analytical software. Inclusion of IBM Cognos 8 BI in the teaching process is essential for the following: Capability of integration with other applications and environment Students get skills in the integrations BI with other existing software. Scalability and safety of the system operation That complies with the corporate scale systems. Today, in Bashkortostan there are several enterprises using large ERP-systems: Ufa Engine Industrial Association (ERP-system BAAN) and Salavatnefteogsintez (ERP-system SAP R/3) that are interested in modern software implementation and qualified specialists of software utilization.
