The Accelerated Instruction with McKendree (AiM) program is designed for students whose work and personal commitments make them unable to attend the Lebanon campus. Logan College - Carterville, IL Joliet Junior College - Joliet, IL Kaskaskia College - Centralia, IL Rend Lake Market Place - Mt Vernon, IL Southwestern Illinois College - Red Bud, IL Wabash Valley College - Mt Carmel, IL Online Taught by McKendree instructors, the 8-week classes are small and the curriculum is student centered, emphasizing the real-world application of learning. The program provides an innovative learning environment where adult students can complete their degree in two years while pursuing their careers and personal lives. 5 AiM PROGRAM ADMISSION 1. Apply - Complete the FREE application for admission. 2. Send transcripts - Request official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended be mailed to the address below. 3. Financial Aid - Apply for financial aid online at 4. Have official transcripts mailed to: McKendree University Office of External Programs 701 College Road Lebanon, IL, ACCREDITATION The AiM program is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and approved to operate by the Illinois Board of Higher Education. CLASS FORMAT Classes meet one evening per week from 5:30pm to 10pm for 8 weeks in a blended format, alternating between online and in-class time with a McKendree professor. By taking two courses per 8-week session the program can be completed in two years (some online only courses may be necessary). McKendree University also offers the BBA degree fully online. 6 AiM MAJORS & COURSES The AiM program offers students the option of an accelerated Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Human Resource. Online only courses have an additional $50 per credit hour fee. Students enrolled in McKendree s AiM program are eligible for a variety of financial aid including: Federal Pell Grants Illinois MAP Grants Federal Subsidized Stafford Loans Federal Unsubsidized Stafford Loans Corporate Tuition Assistance In many cases, the loans will cover the entire cost of the program. 8 TRANSFER CREDIT EVALUATION McKendree University gives careful consideration to your previous course work and will transfer in as many credits as possible. Courses are individually evaluated to determine which are transferable and what requirements have been met. In most cases, credit is issued for courses that have an equivalent to those at McKendree. Transcripts will be evaluated by the Office of Academic Records and the Division Chair of the department. Official transcript evaluations are completed once you have been accepted to McKendree. AiM staff can provide you with an unofficial evaluation at your request. Please note the following: Only courses with a letter grade of C or better may be accepted in transfer. Pass/fail courses will not be accepted At least 128 credit hours are required for graduation, with a minimum of 58 hours from a 4-year institution, 32 of which must be from McKendree You may receive a maximum of 70 credit hours in transfer from a two-year institution, including credit for military experience (with transcripts), CLEP, AP and DANTES Up to 96 credit hours may be accepted in transfer from an accredited 4-year institution Proficiencies earned at other institutions are not accepted All students must pass a writing proficiency examination before graduating from McKendree TRANSFER GUIDES The following guides are intended for students interested in McKendree University s AiM program.
