I have had ample experience manning helpdesk, 1 st to 3 rd level; form more than a year I had a mixed role of sales and helpdesk as well as programming in Switzerland. A SELECTION OF THE PROJECTS EXECUTED PAISY Charles Vögele Textil AG ( ) Building and exploiting a wages/personnel system and a system for apprentices. When I started one of the conditions was that the PAISY system helped to value bonus payments. Based on sick leave, evaluation reports by internal and external agents an employee could get up to 14 months pay plus a travel check for 1000 SFR. The system was very user-minded, and made dependence on programming effort non-existent. One of the cornerstones of the system was parameterization, so that could be adapted by wages clerk after a short introduction. I have done Helpdesk and remote support for this system for over 10 years RTW Evergreen Line ( today) Building an integrated system for accounting, container tracking, budgeting, invoicing as well as communication with the line and the ports. RTW used also to be agent for EVA-Air, a passenger and airfreight carrier. This activity was sold in 2003; the system I built for EVA-Air administrated all the bookings of chairs and cargo on the Jumbo s of Evergreen Air Eva Air and the panning and reporting. The company has ISO certificate. I still do remote support, mainly on the accounting and container tracking modules. PCS Personal Consulting Schumann ( ) Basically a headhunting system, it collected the candidates and employers in the transport sector, matching the candidates with the open jobs. Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung ( ) The object of this system was to make the acquiring of new readers more efficient. This major national newspaper used a daughter company to recruit new readers in a large portion of Germany for their newspaper. This had to be done as efficiently as possible. I built a system that mad it possible to evolve new strategies using significant features of prospects. Beside this my system took care of the total administrative procedures starting from the contacting of prospects up to and including the delivery of the subscriptions. The test copies made available by the Frankfurter were planned, the delivery service informed and the database kept up to date. An important side effect that the professional test readers i.e. the readers that tried to avoid paying were recognized. The subsidiary also took care of the printing, handling and expediting of more than letters pre month. PinkRoccade Public Sector Millennium Services (1998) Making of bids in connection with millennium services and project management. Compros AG, Reinach Payroll systems ( ) System design and building of commercial systems, mainly PAISY (personnel information and salary) systems for Microsoft and UNIX platforms. Functions were designer, and later help desk and general support. It was of major importance to design a fast, efficient and flexible system. Because the system was fully parameterized it was possible for the wages clerks to make most adaptions to take care of legal changes themselves. When I joined COMPROS they were selling wages systems based on basic, with a strong reliance on the programmer. This dependency I changed by designing the system in MUMPS database oriented language and making the programmes so that they could be adapted by laypeople using the screen-, list- and other generators. This had for us the added spin-off that we could concentrate on adapting the parameters for new clients without needing to test the coding. Data structures screen layout and listings could be changed without a line of code changed. Pagina 2 van 6

These included salary and personnel, accounting and logistics. The first major bottle neck that was tackled was the Paisy system. Because of the large amount of personnel more than 6000 in its peak nationals and expats of many nationalities the manual system used till then had many weaknesses. To begin with the payroll office took over the payment of the wages, which were always paid in cash every fortnight. The cash volume was many millions, with the largest notes at that time in 100 rials. There was only 48 hours allowed between end of the work and payment. The calculation was done on the Friday following, so that the money could be picked up at the bank on Saturday. Because we used list generators the system was so flexible that we could report contract end, holiday planning etcetera taking into account the different ethnic background. Later we implemented accounting and logistics.
