After the integration this institute has 8 vocational areas, and the number of its students is 3145, and the staff is 308 workers. In accordance with the curriculum of the vocations and demands of the employers the emphasis nowadays is on the development of keys kills (cross cultural interaction and communication, personal development, problem solving, working with others) and at least one foreign language. Among its memberschools the Trefort Agoston Technical Department carried out many mobility projects in the last years in which the vocational secondary school students were involved. The Sistema Turismo promotes, organises and manages work experiences and educational programmes in Potenza, Italy. They have a permanent staff of 13 people dealing with mobility exchange projects, and keeping connection with the companies and institutes. In the city of Potenza 4 hairdresser vocational students participated in a 4 weeks internship after 1 week language preparation. 2. ESMOVIA is a Spanish company located in Valencia which is concerned with the planning and management of international mobility projects in several fields all over Spain. The ESMOVIA involved building construction companies for our project, and our 3

3 vocational students was placed for 4 weeks internship at these companies after one week language course. 3. Giovani per l'europa is company is located in Nicotera in Sothern Italy which is concerned with European Vocational Training Exchange & Placement Programmes, accredited by the Italian and Maltese Governments. With the help of the Giovani per l'europa our 4 cook vocational students was placed for 4 weeks at the companies to work in Malta. THE AIMS OF THIS PROJECT CARRIED OUT IN SOUTHERN EUROPE Development of student s independence and ability of problem solving. Acquisition of practical vocational knowledge in modern European industries, and in the service sector in case of the hairdresser study. Developing the foreign language communication skills. Developing the cooperation abilities. Joining the every day work. Developing of the key competences indicated in the project. Preparing a student Portfolio including all the tasks at the work place, diaries kept by the students, all the assessments and documents made during the whole projects. The project is expected to help the acquisition of practical experiences during the placement period drown up in the curriculum of the chosen vocational educations. The intermediary company will give Europass Mobility document to certify and validate the successful placement abroad. THE STEPS OF THE PROCESS 1. Informing the partners. 2. Choice of the participant vocational students. 3. Making contract with the students and the sending institute. 4. Working out the working plan and the tasks in cooperation with the sending college and intermediary company and the receiving company. 5. Cultural, professional, psychological and language preparation for the participants. 6. Organising the travel (tickets, insurance, accommodation, meal). 7. Making contract with the students, the sending institute and the hosting institute. 8. The placement period abroad (travel, work, monitoring, mentoring, tutoring). 9. Collecting the experiences in order to support the future development of the process. Assessment by the mentor in cooperation with the coordinator of the intermediary company involving the student. 10. Dissemination.
