The Fort Detrick Telephone System is government owned; contractor operated, and provides service to the Fort Detrick Community. The Telephone Services, US Army Signal Network Enterprise Center (NEC), is responsible for the administration, operation, and maintenance of the Fort Detrick Telephone System. Department of the Army regulations governing the telephone system and the duties of all concerned are found in AR 25-1 and DA PAM 25-1 with supplements. b. All telephones installed at Fort Detrick are for the transaction of official business only. c. The responsibility for the proper usage of official telephone services and safeguarding of telephone equipment rests with the user. MONITORING OF TELEPHONE CALLS Official telephones are subject to monitoring as prescribed in AR 25-1, , and DoD directives and

3 2 DIRECTORY SERVICE a. The Fort Detrick telephone operators maintain a computerized master directory of organizational listings and all personnel. Listings for all Fort Detrick activities and contractors with the exception of NCI-Frederick, located on Fort Detrick, are included in the Fort Detrick directory. NCI-Frederick has a separate telephone system and maintains directory service for their personnel. b. It is the responsibility of each organization to inform the Fort Detrick telephone of any changes in an individual's name, rank, organization, and duty telephone number. All personnel additions and changes will be submitted on the DA Form 3955 (Change of Address and Directory Card), to Fort Detrick telephone operators in Building 810. VISITORS In order to expedite location of visitors and new arrivals, the names and telephone numbers at which they may be reached will be reported to the Fort Detrick telephone operators as soon as possible after arrival at Fort Detrick.
