2 Sunset House as the Nursing Home Administrator: Burbank, IL. Supervised the construction and operation of a 55-bed longterm care facility designed specifically for patients with AIDS. Responsibilities included: supervision of building contractors, program development, physician and staff recruitment, marketing, and day-to-day operations of entire facility including staff management of all departments including dietary, housekeeping, activities, social services, Physical and Occupational Therapy, pastoral services, and nursing. Developed and implemented a home infusion therapy program for a Connecticut based home care agency with five offices and over 750 total employees. Program development included Policies and Procedures, staff education, staff supervision, and marketing of the program. Monthly billing at four months of service in excess of $30,000 per month Flolan Infusion Therapy Program. Developed in collaboration with Priority Care, Inc. and Yale New Haven Cardiac Transplant Service, a home therapy program for Pulmonary Hypertension patients. The project included a patient education tool, inpatient and outpatient strategies as well as the home care program. Negotiated an exclusive contract with the pharmacy distributing the drug in Connecticut for Priority Care, Inc Oncology: Home Care Management. Created a two-day workshop for nurses on Oncology management 12 contact hours from the State of Connecticut. Presented to Priority Care, Inc AIDS: Home Care Management A workshop created for nurses and social workers for 6.9 Contact Hours from the State of Connecticut. 7 1996 Chronically Impaired Home Client Program. Developed a program for a New York based home care agency for the developmentally handicapped and trauma victims requiring 4 to 24 hour skilled nursing coverage in their home setting. Program development included staff recruitment and training, marketing, and staff supervision. Monthly billing after one year $40,000 per week and 60 nurses on the program Nursing Care of the Head and Neck Cancer Patient. Developed and coordinated a two-day workshop for nurses.
