3 Opportunity: We are searching for an IT Coordinator to join HRiA s Administration & Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an interest in the IT field who has a background with troubleshooting day to day hardware and software problems, and has a strong customer service mindset. Position Description: The IT Coordinator fields questions and troubleshoots problems with software applications, printers, mobile devices, telephones, faxes, copiers, WAPs and other IT hardware as well as operating systems and issues regarding access to the network. Desktop support includes diagnosing problems; guiding users to solutions and in many cases requires desk-side or remote access troubleshooting and problem resolution. The IT Coordinator will be expected to perform repairs, work with vendors to resolve problems caused by defects/hardware conflicts, set up new equipment and verify installations. Additionally, s/he will need to be familiar with standard office software applications and will assist users in resolving issues, answering questions and maximizing the use of business applications. S/he will be required to keep accurate records about problems encountered and his/her solutions. In addition, s/he will be responsible for keeping accurate inventory records for all IT related equipment. This is an exempt, full time position. Duties and Responsibilities: Primary Duties: Respond to requests for technical support from end users. Must be able to prioritize all requests received by , phone, ticketing system, etc. Ability to modify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation. Utilize and maintain the helpdesk tracking software/system. Document internal procedures. Assist with onboarding of new users. Install, test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment and software. Maintain inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses. Report issues to the Human Resources/Operations Manager for escalation. Manage PC setup and deployment using standard hardware, images and software. Assign users and computers to proper groups in Active Directory. Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required. Health Resources in Action, Inc. Page 3

4 Engage in formative research, including conducting environmental scans and literature reviews, supporting research plan and tool development, providing interview and focus group support, and contributing to data analysis and report writing. Additional Duties: Must be prepared to work evenings and weekends as required to complete key IT projects that can only be done outside of normal business hours. Personal characteristics for working effectively with staff, supervisors, administrators, as well as clients and vendors. Excellent communication and writing skills. Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including the ability to lift and handle up to 50 pounds of materials/equipment, bend, stoop and stretch as required for placement and retrieval of materials or equipment on shelving, under desks, etc. This description is intended to indicate the kinds of work duties that will be required in this position. Candidate Qualifications: A High School Diploma and an associate degree or continuing education in computer technology is necessary. A bachelor s degree in computer science, computer engineering or information systems preferred.
