Special Projects are innovative collaborative technology projects with special emphasis placed on exploring emerging or new technologies and their use within the University, West Central Illinois Region, and the State of Illinois.! Worked with Provost Office, Physical Plant, QC, COFAC, COAS, COBT, COEHS, Registrar s Office and Lab Services to qualify data and assist with Campus Accreditation.

10 ! Charged to develop an overall Communication/Plan and Strategy of utech activities to the Campus Community at large.! Coordinated efforts of CAIT, utech, DPS, and Campus Building Reps to produce the materials.

11 ! Published and distributed Campus Student Brochures for both on campus and off campus.! Published and distributed Password reset bookmarks and posters.! Assisted with utech Staff ID card design and implementation process.! Coordinated efforts of CAIT, utech, DPS, and Campus Building Reps to produce the above materials.

Physical Plant, Provosts Office, Registrars Office, Classroom Services, QC, COEHS, COFAC, COAS, COBT, Telecom, University Union General Building Operations, and Network Infrastructure all contributed to the update of 1 QC classroom, and 11 Macomb classrooms, for a total of 12 rooms in 2009.! Project budget has been on hold since 9/09.

13 ! Updated 12 General Use Electronic Classrooms.! A Music Department Band Practice room updated with recording capabilities.! The formation of a General Use Electronic Classroom Policy & Procedure Committee including utech, Physical Plant, Provost Office, COFAC, COAS, COBT, COEHS, and the Registrar s Office to create:! A General Use Electronic Classroom Support Agreement located on line at - Plus redefine Change of Purpose and Scheduling Policy and Procedures.

An online Electronic Classroom Design and Upgrade Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - An Electronic Classroom Design and Upgrade Process Document to properly facilitate the planning process -

Installing security cameras in Physical Plant, utech Labs and the Apple Store to increase the security of patrons, lab assistants and lab equipment, and also meet Physical Plant audit findings, by capturing a non-monitored video image.! Major Achievements:! Defined and documented Incident Procedures! Prepared Installation Instructions! Determined need for Campus-wide Security Camera Policy

Desktop Services, Server Services, Apple Systems, Technology Infrastructure, Technology Security, Quad Cities Technology, College Technical Representatives, and ESS discovery and clean up of legacy sensitive business data to ensure that hackers, thieves, viruses, spyware, back doors and other malicious code cannot steal this information.! The use of a Sensitive Data Scanning Tool goes beyond Anti-virus, anti-spyware, and anti-spam which don't offer in-depth searching to protect such sensitive data.
