6 BRIEF OUTLINE OF ITB NIGERIA LIMITED Establishment and Management I TB Nigeria Limited was incorporated in November 1995 as a private limited liability company and since its incorporation; the company has grown into a major builder and is among the leading construction companies in Nigeria. The company has executed various landmark projects in the country among which are the National Assembly Complex Abuja and the Eko Hotel Expo Centre Lagos. It has currently in its portfolio various projects that include Hotels, Offices and Residential Developments. Work Force ITB has a well-trained and highly motivated work force that is well oriented and focused on timely delivery of projects. It has in its employment over 4,000 Nigerians and expatriates, which includes over 300 qualified Nigerian professionals. Technology The Ocean Parade Towers & Abugansoro Towers in Banana Island Constructed by ITB Nigeria Limited In order to continue to improve on its services and increase clients satisfaction ITB had gone ahead to invest in sophisticated formwork, equipments and less conventional technologies and established a prestressed concrete factory in Abuja (patent of PPB- France), to produce a variety of pre-cast concrete elements in pre-stressed concrete (bridge beams, piles, sleepers, electrical poles etc.). We have invested over $5million in Peri/Doka Formwork within the last Post-Tensioning Works in Progress 6 Corporate Profile

7 five years. ITB Nigeria Limited was the first company in Nigeria that introduced the technique of Post - Tensioned concrete in Building slabs. This has been used on many of its projects and efforts are being deployed to introduce it more widely in the construction industry because of the unique advantages it offers. A section of the Abuja Yard Branches and Subsidiaries ITB Nigeria Limited is equipped with a strong piling subsidiary, ITB Foundations, which specializes in subsoil investigation and piling works (pre-cast piles, C.F.A, Fundex ). ITB has a main yard in Abuja which was established in 1997 on an overall area of 77,900m², with over 30,000m 2 of that as built area. It is located along Murtala Mohamed express way, having well over 1,500 independent workers Aluminium factory, a unit of the Abuja Yard and housing numerous units such as administrative unit, aluminium factory, joinery/furniture factory, precast concrete/pre-stress department and welding workshop. There is also a yard located along Aba-PH express way in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. This yard contains administrative offices, and a storage facility that houses ITB major construction materials and equipment. This yard serves as the company base for its operations in the eastern part of Nigeria. 8 service all its operations in the South Western part of the country. In Lagos state, ITB has massive storage warehouses of 11,200m 2 built on 30,600m² of Land. This facility is located in the heart of the Mega City at Mile 2. This has helped in solving the inherent storage problems in Lagos. With its proximity to the port, our central store in Lagos also serves as temporary storage transit point for all other sites outside Lagos. There is also a yard in Kaduna, a quarry in Calabar and an asphalt-plant in Umuahia owned and operated by ITB Nigeria Limited. These subsidiaries enable ITB Nigeria Limited to render all-inclusive services from foundation to completion to its clients. The company is currently working on obtaining its ISO certification. ITB Nigeria Limited does accept, and is equipped to handle Turnkey projects (or Design and Build), when the client requires. 10 THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY COMPLEX The National Assembly Complex is located in the Three Arm Zone of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja. With its distinctive features and dome shaped roof, it is one of the Architectural landmarks in the Nigeria capital city of Abuja. View of the National Assembly Complex The National Assembly Complex consists of 40,000m² gross floor area of concrete structure for both the legislative and senatorial arm of the National Assembly. The complex has two chambers which is serviced by a central atrium. The extremely short construction period (30 months), made it necessary for ITB Nigeria Limited to develop a construction system to meet the project deadline. The structural element was therefore a combination of insitu concrete and precast elements. The internal partitions are in plastered and painted concrete block walls, with high quality profile aluminium glazed windows and doors. The ceiling is finished with acoustic suspended ceiling type while the floor is finished with a combination of vitrified tiles, marble tiles and granite tiles. The state-of-the-art mechanical and electrical installation includes a central air-conditioning system, fire fighting and fire detection system, CCTV, access control systems and standby generators. 11 EKO HOTEL LUXURY SUITES The Eko Hotel Luxury Suites situated along the famous Ademola Adetokunbo Street in Victoria Island Lagos is an annex to the Main Eko Hotel & Suites. The Eko Hotel Luxury Suite is a nine storey reinforced concrete framed structure on pile foundation and concrete pile caps. The External and internal walls are in hollow concrete blocks Completed Section of the Project plastered and finished in choice paint. The windows are in combination of schucco profile aluminium sliding and projected windows. Doors in combination of aluminium revolving and swing doors and internal fire rated solid flush doors. Floors are finished in first choice vitrified tiles for the offices and marble and granite tiles for the rooms and reception areas. The ceiling is mainly in POP plastered boards and metal ceiling for circulation and all wet areas. Eight of the nine floors, i.e. first to eight floors are luxury suites, while the ground floor is reserved for services, reception, bar and restaurant. 12 NEW GENERAL HOSPITAL YENAGOA BAYELSA STATE T Entrance View of Project he Yenagoa General hospital is located in the Yanagoa, Capital city of Bayelsa State on an approximately 28 hectares of land. The contract includes the Design and Construction of 500 beds general hospital including all electrical and mechanical installations and infrastructural works. The complex is constructed in two-storey comprising a semicircular core containing Medico-technical, Logistics and Administrative areas. Radiating from this central core are the wards with a total capacity of 500 beds. The external works comprise roads and car parking, surface water drainage, culvert crossing, foul water network, water supply network including borehole, power supply and street lighting, landscaping, fence and gates. The structure comprises concrete columns and beams on a grid system bearing on concrete raft foundation. The roof is long span aluminium on structural steel framed structure. All the external and internal partitions are in concrete block wall rendered both sides with cement/sand mortar. The external face is coated with waterproofed textured paint and the internal face with ceramic tiles in areas where maximum hygiene is required (e.g. surgery room), and all other areas oil paint for the first 1.50m and thereafter with emulsion paint. Projected aluminium windows are used in areas of maximum hygiene and sliding windows in other areas. External doors are hinged glazed aluminium doors, while the internal doors comprise Aluminum swing doors in areas of maximum hygiene and where rapid access is required and in all other areas semi-solid plywood flush doors. The floor is finished with vitrified ceramic floor tiles and metallic strip suspended ceiling in areas of maximum hygiene, fibre panels suspended ceiling in corridors and in all other areas cement/sand rendered and emulsion paint. 13 SAPETRO TOWERS - VICTORIA ISLAND LAGOS The Sapetro Towers situated on the Adeola Odeku Street is one of the landmark projects in Victoria Island Lagos. The Twin 13 Storey office/residential mixed development was completed in a record time of 24months. The contract includes the design and construction 24 No 3 View of Project Bedrooms flats and office building of 7523m² and 9452m² gross floor areas respectively. The entire ground is for car parking and designed to accommodate 190 cars. The design and construction contract includes a generator house, gate house, underground water tank, water treatment plant, sewage treatment plant complete will all electrical and mechanical installation works. The structure comprises concrete columns and beams on a concrete pile foundation and pile caps. While the residential building has the traditional reinforced concrete slabs sitting on the beams, the office slabs were constructed in concrete Post-Tensioned slabs. Both the office and residential development are finished with first choice finishing materials. The floors are finished with imported vitrified ceramic tiles and selected marble and granite floor tiles all to meet the client s special needs and requirements. While the office building are open office spaces with double glazed state-of-the-art curtain walls external cladding, the residential development are partitioned in concrete block wall rendered and finished with emulsion paint internally and textured paint externally. The office and residential buildings are service with 4No and 3No lifts respectively. 14 GLASSFORCE FACTORY - ABA The design and construction of the Glassforce Factory in Aba, Abia State was awarded to ITB in October 2001 and actual construction commenced on site in April, 2002 after the completion of the design and award of the construction phase. View of completed Project The glass force project is sitting on over 20,000m² piece of land and the industrial building is housing a furnace and two production line designed to achieve an annual production capacity of 40,000 metric tons. The main structure is in structural steel sections, covered with long span industrial aluminium roofing sheets. The external walls and internal partitions are in concrete block walls rendered and finished in industrial paints. 15 TOTAL OFFICE EXTENSION (PENSION FUND) PORT HARCOURT Entrance View of Project The TOTAL office extension project otherwise known as the Pension Fund project is located on Trans Amadi road in the heart of Port Harcourt, River State. The project consists of 3No Security Post, visitor waiting room and security entrance, 5-Storey main office building and a multipurpose building. The high quality and the exquisite finish of all the buildings make them a unique sight in the centre of the city. 16 TOTAL JOINT VENTURE OFFICE PROJECT PORT HARCOURT The contract for the Total NNPC Joint Venture project in Port Harcourt, River State was awarded in October, The project which is located in Trans Amadi, in the heart of Port Harcourt consists of the Following Buildings: 1. 17 MAGNUM TRUST BANK HEAD OFFICE LAGOS T he Magnum Trust Bank Head Office (Now Bank PHB Head Office) is situated in Professional centre, Off Idowu Taylor Street, Victoria Island Lagos. Arial View of Project The contract for the Construction of the Multi-Storey office complex was awarded in March, The 10 storey office block is approximately 45.37m x 33.04m x 43.68m high of reinforced concrete framed structure on pile foundation. Also included in the contract are Boundary fence walls, gates & barriers, drive-in concrete pavements and parking, concrete drainage channels, landscaping, gate house and plumbing works. The building consists of a central atrium/reception at the ground floor, a parking lot located on the first floor and open office spaces on the eight remaining floors which allow for flexibility of partitioning and installations by the end users. The walls are clad in stones with high profile aluminium sliding windows. The internal doors are fire rated flush doors, while the external doors are a mixture of swing and revolving aluminium doors. The ceiling is metal suspended ceiling in wet areas and acoustic ceilings in offices and circulation areas. The floor tiles are a mixture of imported first choice vitrified, marble and granite tiles. The building has a central air-conditioning system and is serviced by 4 lifts including 1 panoramic lift. 18 OCEAN WINDS HOTEL AND WELLNESS CENTRE - LAGOS T he Ocean Winds Hotel and Wellness Centre Lagos (Now Four Point by Sheraton Lagos (4 Star Hotel)) is located in Victoria Island Extension, off Ligalli Ayorinde Street. View of completed project The Contract for the construction of Ocean Winds Hotel and Wellness Centre, including all electromechanical services was awarded in May, 2005 with initial project duration of 20 months. The work comprises the construction of 8 floors, having 6 floors as guest rooms, while ground and first floor are reserved for reception, bar, restaurant, meeting rooms, offices and general services. During Construction The construction generally is reinforced concrete framed structure on pile foundation. The electrical and mechanical facilities are top quality and include fire detection and fighting systems all in compliance with international hospitality standard. A central airconditioning system is designed to provide a pleasant room climate for the guest. All finishing materials are first choice to meet the standard of international hotel requirements and they include a mixture of vitrified tiles, specially selected marble and granite floor tiles, a combination of Mattochino and Listello ceramic wall tiles in toilets, stainless steel balustrade in public staircase and POP gypsum and Bulkheads for the ceiling. The external works includes the construction of septic tanks, water treatment and sewage tanks, fence, boreholes, gate house, hard and soft landscaping, alternative power supply etc. The Hotel is serviced by 4No Lifts. 19 OFFICE DEVELOPMENT FOR ABUGANSORO INVESTMENT LIMITED BANANA ISLAND LAGOS View of Completed Project This elegantly designed and constructed 12-Storey office development (11,000m² gross floor area) is one of the Landmark buildings in the Ultramodern and highbrow Banana Island Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos State. The structure comprises concrete columns and beams on a concrete pile foundation and pile caps with Post-Tensioned concrete slabs. The skyblue office construction is a unique form of construction with its roundish form and special concrete moulded decorative facades. 20 TINAPA HOTEL - CALABAR The Tinapa Hotel Calabar is owned by Tinapa Business Resort Limited and is part of the phase 1 of the Tinapa Business Resort that comprises a mixed-use business and tourism resort in Adiabo, Calabar, Cross River State of Nigeria. 21 WAVES OFFICE COMPLEX - LAGOS The Waves office development is an elaborate and ambitious project located on the elitist Ozumba Mbadiwe water front in Victoria Island Lagos. The wave office building is a design and build project by ITB Nigeria Limited. Skyline View of Project This massive 12-storey building with 85,000m² gross area is one of the contemporary projects redefining the Victoria Island Landscape. This four in one building is design to give an S-shape on the façade. The Structure consist of reinforced concrete columns and beams and Concrete slab, all sitting on bored pile foundation and pile caps. Post-Tensioned The first three floors (Ground to Second floor) are reserved for parking while third to tenth floors are open offices spaces with future partition to be designed to meet the requirements of the end users. The last and the eleventh floor accommodates an exclusive pent house. The Whole building is encased in state-of-the-art curtain wall and aluco-bond aluminium wall cladding. All the finishes are carefully selected first choice materials imported from across Europe. To allow for flexibility for future installations, the buildings were specially designed with suspended ceiling and raised floors. The buildings will be provided with independent power plant, sewage and water treatment plant. 22 MILAN INTERCONTINENTAL HOTEL - LAGOS The Magnificent Milan InterContinental Hotel is centrally located in Victoria Island Lagos on the popular Kofo Abayomi Street. At the height of 100m it has dwarfed all the buildings in Victoria Island Lagos and set to be the tallest hotel in Nigeria and is now one of the iconic symbols of Victoria Island Lagos. The Milan Intercontinental Hotel is a 25-Storey structure that View of Project includes two basements of more than 10m below the ground level. The construction of the main structure was therefore a special challenge especially as the hotel was being built in an already built-up environment. Beside the 1000mm thick diaphragm wall that was built on the perimeter of the site as retaining wall for more than 10m deep basement, special expertise was deployed to offer additional support to the diaphragm walls during the excavation of the basement and the completion of all the structural works below the ground level. The building sits comfortably on deep rooted piles and over 3000mm thick average raft foundation. The two level basements is design to accommodate up to 300 cars. 23 SILVERBIRD 12-SCREEN CINEMAS - ABUJA The Silverbird 12-screen Cinemas Abuja is an intimidating and magnificent entertainment centre close to the FCT Cultural Village. The work comprises of 4-storey building with additional basement floor and one mezzanine floor. The ground and first floor are shops, a life style on the second floor, 12 screen cinema on the third floor while the fourth floor is the penthouse floor rooms. The construction generally is of reinforced concrete Entrance View framed structure on column bases and strip footing foundation. The partitions are mainly in concrete block walls rendered and finished in high quality paint internally and externally. In order to live up to its status as a world class entertainment centre, the choice of the finishing materials was painstakingly done. The floor finish is a mixture of vitrified tiles, granite and marble tiles all imported from Europe. The ceiling is generally in POP and metal ceiling in wet areas. 24 C&N LUXURY APARTMENTS - IKOYI The C&N Luxury apartments is an elegantly appointed 2No Multi-storey framed concrete structure located on Kingsway/Temple road of the choice Ikoyi residential area of Lagos State, a location that has the trapping of grandeur. It consists of 14 distinctively arranged towers set to provide a luxurious life style for its inhabitants. The project is divided into 3 phases. While work on the first and second phase is completed, construction work has commenced in the last and final phase. The Ocean Parade Towers is a symbol of luxury and security. Situated along the prestigious Ademola Adetokunbo Street and sitting next to the Eko Hotel Luxury Suites. The Eko Towers is another peerless addition to the ever changing and beautiful Victoria Island landscape. The 19-Storey Tower with over 7000m² of Technical Profile curtain walling will be used as offices on completion. The structure consist of reinforced concrete columns, beams and post tensioned slabs all sitting on a piles and raft During Construction concrete foundation. There is one level basement on the entire site layout which is isolated from the neighboring built environment with metal sheet piles. The basement and the first three floors will serve as parking. 27 LE MERIDIEN GRAND TOWERS IKOYI, LAGOS The Le Meridien Grand Ikoyi Towers is 15-Storey twin Tower, one serving as five star landmark hotel and the other a residential tower. The Le Meridein Grand Ikoyi Towers is set to provide one of the most luxurious accommodations in Lagos. The structure of this twin towers consist of reinforced concrete beam, columns and suspended slabs in a well laid out grids that sits on a foundation of piles and pile caps. The Two towers, the hotel and the Under Construction residence are similar in style with almost the same façade. The towers are sitting on an elaborate podium which houses all the entrances to the buildings, receptions, halls and meeting rooms, support services and all other facilities necessary for the effective functioning of a top class complex as this. On completion the Le Meridien Grand Towers will have 271 luxury suites for the hotel and 72 separate apartments for the residential block. The Grand Towers will be provided with a standby power generators and sewage and water treatment plant.
