This fall, youth can take advantage of new creative arts classes and Kids Night Out programs; new fitness classes including outdoor Zumba and Tabata for adults; and expanded opportunities for boomers. Join me for the 13th Annual Alexandria King Street Art Festival on September featuring paintings, life-size sculptures, jewelry, ceramics and more on the converted City s historic main street into an outdoor art gallery. On November 27, kickoff the holiday season with your extended family by attending the official lighting of the City s holiday tree with a visit from Santa, caroling and musical entertainment. For a complete listing of events taking place throughout the City of Alexandria, visit alexandriava.gov/calendar. I continue to be active in Recreation Department programs, and I encourage all residents of Alexandria to take advantage of the activities and facilities the Department offers.
