LIQUID DESICCANT AIR CONDITIONING Saves energy, Controls humidity, Cleans air 0

Optimal Air Quality: Critical to Hotels Provides comfortable environment for guests no overcooling Protects building, carpets and furnishings from moisture damage Eliminates musty odors Prevents mold & mildew formation Promotes healthy fresh air for optimal guest experience Is your HVAC equipment a help or hindrance? 1

Air conditioning as we ve known it mold & bacteria freezing conditions high electric bills musty odors maintenance issues 2

Humidity: The Hidden Cost Driver Conventional A/C Process Typical Building Design Load Sensible (temperature reduction) 60-80% Latent (humidity removal) 20-40% Temperature Reduced directly by absorbing heat into the refrigerant Humidity Reduced indirectly by overcooling air to condensation point Humidity Removal 30-50% of energy costs 40-60% of up-front costs 3

Standard approaches to dealing with humidity Off-the-Shelf Dedicated Systems / DOAS Solid Desiccant Overcools the air using traditional vapor-compression equipment Requires high maintenance (clogged coils, poor air quality, condensation issues) Overcools as above, with larger coil and refrigeration capacity, often reheats to achieve comfortable conditions Includes high first costs and complex installation Extracts humidity through chemical absorption and heat, requires post-cooling of overheated air Demands high energy consumption and costly maintenance 4

Introducing Advantix Systems liquid desiccant air conditioning 5

What is liquid desiccant? 6

More efficient. Our thermodynamic shortcut takes you directly to the Comfort Zone, cutting air conditioning workloads by half or more. Liquid desiccant Standard air conditioning Avoids rework of conventional systems Eliminates condensation no costly maintenance Comfort Zone 7

Cost savings. Energy costs (operating expenses) 30-50% lower energy consumption by avoiding rework of conventional systems First costs (upfront capital) Maintenance costs Systems sized more efficiently by handling more latent cooling than conventional units Smaller capacity compressor, heat exchanger, etc. reduces equipment cost Zero-down, shared energy savings payment option Eliminates intensive maintenance - no air filters, evaporator coil, pans, condensate removal systems) 8

Better performance. Improved comfort Avoids freezing or muggy ambient conditions Humidity control Indoor air quality Safety Reduces mold / mildew damage to buildings and furnishings Protects sensitive processes and equipment Enables more fresh air intake Disinfectants air Captures allergens and particulates Reduces odors Improves surface drying (e.g., floors, counters); reduces exposure to slip & falls 9

Case Study Retail Woodstock Outlet Woodstock, GA Woodstock Outlet is a large furniture store chain with annual sales of US $28 million. The 37,000 sq. ft. anchor store is located in Woodstock, GA, where summertime conditions average 80:F, 65% RH. Existing HVAC system could not handle the humidity effectively, resulting in uncomfortable conditions for the staff and customers and accumulation of mold and mildew. Store management wanted to improve indoor air quality and reduce high energy costs needed for air conditioning. Solution Impact Installed one DT-3400 unit on rooftop of furniture showroom Indoor conditions remain a constant level of 40% R.H. Electricity consumption reduced by 32%

Case Study Warehouse Duty Free Americas Miami, FL Situation 10,000 sq ft warehouse in Miami needed to keep perfumes, chocolates, and other goods well-preserved at 73:F, 45% RH. With overhead doors open throughout the day, heat and humidity poured into space. Condensation dripped from ceiling and vents, drip pans overflowed, products were damaged and the electric bill skyrocketed. Challenges Workers turned thermostat down but conditions remained uncomfortable (around 80:F, 70% RH). Solution Installed two DT-800 units Impact 35% reduction in energy consumption Maintains conditions at 73⁰F and 45% RH Eliminates all humidity & condensation issues

Case Study Ice Rink Pines Ice Arena Pembroke Pines, FL Ice arena experienced high energy costs from cooling and dehumidifying its 80,000 sq ft facility through conventional means (chillers, cooling towers, desiccant wheel dehumidifiers). System consumed inordinate amounts of electricity, gas and water in South Florida s hot, humid climate. Solution Impact Installed six DH-3400 units (no compressors) powered by waste heat from cogeneration and geothermal well with Zamboni s ice shavings Electricity consumption dropped by over 50% (expected up to 60% in upcoming year) Natural gas consumption reduced by 35% Water consumption lowered by 25% Pre-tax deduction of $144,000 and $50,4000 less in federal income tax
