6 Aids to Navigation Aids to Navigation services provide navigational safety information to mariners. Each aid has a distinct identification and color coding for a safety warning. Clients include the shipping industry, recreational boaters, commercial fishers all mariners Traffic volume and degree of risk determine the type of navigational aid. 6

Marine Communications and Traffic Services MCTS Officers are the Eyes and Ears of the Coast Continuously monitoring shipping movements and radio communications.
