6 Premium tip quality As the tip is an integral component of the pipetting system, its shape, material properties and fit have a considerable influence on pipetting accuracy. To ensure high quality and accurate pipetting we check each tip lot for Geometry and shape of the tip Occurence of scratches, mechanical fails, air bubbles, plastic depris and impurities Sealing to tip cone Functionality together with a pipette for straight fluid flow Cleanliness of the tip Our quality management system follows not only ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, but also ISO (ISO standard for medical devices), which enables us to give CE / IVD (In Vitro Diagnostics) certification for both pipettes and pipette tips. Clean manufacturing - contamination free tips To avoid contamination from human contact, we have automated the whole manufacturing process. Pure virgin polypropylene (PP) plastic is automatically fed from silos to moulding machines. The moulding machines and robots that are located in isolated clean cells load the tips automatically to the tip trays and packaging. HEPA filters and higher air pressure are applied for purity within the cell. All Biohit tip racks and Single s are individually and automatically packed in air-tight plastic to rule out any danger of contamination. Additionally, our highly experienced and trained personnel is equipped with specially designed clothing, masks, hair nets and gloves to further diminish the contamination risks. An independent laboratory checks each Single Tray and tip lot for RNase, DNase and Endotoxins. The Certificate of Quality can be downloaded at Traceability All Biohit tips are fully traceable.
