BEGINNING THE GAME 1. At signal, open envelope and REVIEW your cards. 2. Identify the cards that are MOST and LEAST like you. 3. PRIORITIZE cards in order, starting with the one that best describes you, or your thinking style. 4. Focus on how you REALLY are, NOT how you want to be.
IMPROVING YOUR HAND 1. Once instructed, move around the room and trade cards with your neighbors. 2. Talk to as many people as possible. 3. Trading must be consensual NO STEALING! 4. You should end up with 5 cards. 5. Return to your seats at the signal.
REDUCING YOUR CARD COUNT 1. Select the 2 cards that are LEAST like you and turn them in. 2. KEEP the 3 cards that are MOST like you.
DISCUSS IN GROUPS What are the predominant colors around you? How did it feel to give up 2 cards and turn them in? Were those choices easy or difficult to make?
FINAL EXCHANGE 1. At signal, go to discard area and make final exchanges. 2. Examine all of the cards and select those that best represent how you think. 3. Return to your seat after finding 5 cards that are most like you.
WHICH WORDS DESCRIBE YOUR THINKING STYLE? 1. Record words from the cards you have in your possession. 2. Note the card colors (red, yellow, blue, or green). 3. Put a check mark next to the one card that BEST describes you. 4. Turn in the one card that BEST describes you.
DISCUSS IN GROUPS How do the 5 words you selected describe how you think? What effect does your thinking style have on your work? Your day-to-day life? What is the best thing about your color at work? What is the biggest challenge about your color at work?
