INTRODUCTION In this project im going to talk to you about The War of Roses,an event that marked history. When lancaster and york started fighting for the throne during the war of roses,it caused socio economic problems for the rest of the country.
INTRODUCING THE EVENT This war started at the year of 1455, when the hundred years war ended. It was at England, there where the royal houses of Lancaster and York. Lancaster and York where the main characters of this conflict. The houses of Lancaster and York had a symbol that was the rose. Lancaster had the red rose, York the white rose. This conflict lasted 30 years, from 1455 to 1485.
CAUSES OF THE WAR This conflict started because both; Lancaster and York wanted the throne of England. They were tired of feudalism, and also they were tired of the weak king.
WHO WAS AFFECTED? The most affected were the peasants because after the war there were a lot of socio economic problems and the social problems affected mostly the peasants because a lot of man were dead after this conflict. This also affected the peasants because they didn t have good armor or weapons at war so they mostly died, Peasants didn t have training on how to fight so they were very in experts to fight so they didn t knew how to use the armor they had. When the male peasants went to war they not always came back so their family was affected.
ADVANTAGES Some advantages after the war of roses were that they could choose their own system of governing. Also both Lancaster and York won because they unite and form the new dynasty.
DISADVANTAGES Some disadvantages after the war were that England had to pass through a lot of kings in a very short period of time. Also they lost population because people died while fighting, because most of the people didn t have good training.
MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS The major accomplishments or what make famous this event were that Lancaster and York could end feudalism. Also they formed a new dynasty called the Tudor dynasty and chose what would be their new way of governing because now they were the kings of England. Another reason that make this war or conflict famous was the symbols, the roses.
MAJOR DIFFICULTIES The major difficulties could be that people were mad because their families were at war and were in risk. Also some difficulties were to recuperate the throne from so many kings, and to change the system of governing.
EFFECTS AFTER THE WAR After the war Lancaster and York got what they wanted but peasants and other people were mad or sad because their families died at war.england after the war change its system to govern because they didn t want feudalism anymore.
SOLUTIONS Some solutions that they could have done before the war started were talk or to do a treaty of peace and they could skip or save all of this conflict and not affect people or their country.
The hundred years war ended The battle of St.Alabans started Edward IV son of Richard the duke of York thanks to Warwick support. The battle of St.Alabans ended TIMELINE The battle of Barnet took place and Warwick dies. Edward IV becomes king. The battle of Bosworth starts. Henry VII (Henry Tudor) defeats Richard III at the battle of Bosworth. Richard the duke of York rebelled against Henry VI the king of England. War of Roses starts Warwick changes of side and helps henry VI to get again the throne. Edward IV dies so his brother Richard III becomes the king. War of Roses ends. Henry VII becomes King and he marries Elizabeth daughter of Edward IV so the houses of Lancaster and York unite and form a new dynasty, the Tudor dynasty

TODAY This conflict affected or helped todays world because it showed us how to change the system of governing and also this marked England's history.
CONCLUSION My conclusion is that the War of the Roses marked history because that was when England could choose their own government.i also learned that this war was famous or is famous because of its name and of its symbols.
