2 Installation instructions and maintenance PureLoc (1/4) 1. General guidelines This document presents the general installation instructions, based on the latest available information. For best result, and validity of the guarantee, these instructions should be followed carefully. 2. Before the installation Make sure you are satisfied with the flawless conditions of the flooring delivered before the installation begins. Claims cannot be made on goods that have been cut to size or laid. Keep the boards in the unopened package at room temperature for at least 48 hours before you start the installation. and stack them flat in the fitting location, decorative side up. The ideal indoor climatic conditions are C. Maintain this temperature during installation as well. You should mix and fit floor panels from several different boxes to minimize shade variations. This will insure a more natural looking floor. PureLoc flooring should be installed floating, meaning that it should be allowed to move in any direction having enough space to all walls or any fixed objects i.e. not to be screwed or nailed down to the subfloor. Do not use an underlay. It is important to leave a 5 mm expansion gap around the total perimeter of the floor and around columns, pipes, thresholds, etc. The largest recommended installation area is 15 x 15 m. An expansion profile (T-profile) must be used in door openings, and/or if the area is longer/wider than 15 m. PureLoc is not suitable for any outside use, sunrooms, solariums, saunas, or environments that have a high humidity. We also recommend not to install the product in rooms that are not temperature controlled. The PureLoc floor should be protected from exposure to direct sunlight. When installing in areas with an elevated temperature variation (e.g. in conservatories or close to picture windows), we highly recommend to glue PureLoc to the subfloor with a high performance acrylic glue. Always use PureLoc accessories for a perfect result. 3. Preparation of the subfloor Careful subfloor preparation is vital for an excellent floor appearance and good plank adhesion. Roughness or unevenness of the subfloor may telegraph through the new floor, resulting in a unsightly surface and cause excessive wear on high spots or indentation on low spots. You must clean the working area and clear away any debris which could potentially damage finished floor panel fitting. The surface on which you place the vinyl planks should be perfectly hard, flat, dry and smooth. It must be clean, bump-free and free of traces of plaster, paint, oil, grease or cracks. Floor level must be maximum 4 mm by 2 m. If the indicated deviation is exceeded, the subfloor should be evenedout with a suitable filler or levelling product. Subfloors must be carefully checked for moisture problems. If there is moisture, carry out sealing before installation.

3 Installation instructions and maintenance PureLoc (2/4) A subfloor of ceramic tiles with joints > 4mm wide and/or > 2mm deep should be made smooth by applying a levelling product on the grout joints. PureLoc can be installed on top of concrete, tiles, wood, and most existing hard-surface floor coverings, provided that the existing surface is smooth or can be made smooth. Maximum moisture content in a screed/concrete floor is 85 % RH at min. 20 C (max. 2,0 CM %). Although PureLoc is insensitive to moisture, excessive moisture can generate mould or fungus. Textile floor coverings and needle felts must be removed. Heavily cushioned vinyl floor or vinyl floors consisting of several layers are not suitable as subfloors. 4. Installation Tools needed: Trimming knife, pencil, a T-square, folding rule/ measuring tape and spacers (wedges). Check that the floor planks are without visible defects before installing them! Accurately measure the room to accommodate a balanced layout. By doing this you will be able to determine if the first row needs to be cut. The first and last row should not be less than 5 cm wide. If the first row of floor panels does not need to be trimmed in width, it will be necessary to cut off the unsupported tongue so that a clean, solid edge is facing the wall. 5. Important Install the product from left to right, across the room. Place the floor panel with the locking groove facing the room. You should keep 5 mm expansion gaps from the wall and all vertical fixtures during installation. This allows space for the floor panels to expand and contract naturally. 2. Place the short side tongue of the next floor panel at an angle into the short side groove of the first one and fold down. Continue with the next floor panels in the same way. 3. Place the final floor panel face up, locking groove long side towards the wall, and the short end tongue positioned 5 mm from the wall. Mark the place where the floor panel is to be cut. Make a cut in the floor panel on the decor side by using a trimming knife. Use the snap method to break the unneeded part off. 4. 1st panel of 2nd row: Always ensure that the short end joints will be staggered minimum 30 cm when you start the next row. Use, when suitable, the cut piece of floor panel from the previous row. If not suitable, take a new floor panel and cut it in half. Place the floor panel at a low angle and insert the long side tongue into the locking groove of the floor panel in the previous row. Fold the floor panel gently down.

Place the short end tongue of the next floor panel at an angle against the previously installed floor panel and fold gently down. Ensure that the long side tongue is positioned on the locking strip of the previous row. 6. Using gentle force and at an angle, you gradually, from left to right, push the long side tongue into the locking groove of the previous row. You may need to lift the floor panel to the left of it slightly to allow for the sliding action. Complete the whole row in the same way. 7. Door frames: Use a floor panel placed faced down as a support for getting the correct height if you need to adjust a door frame. Pipes: Measure the diameter of the pipes and mark the position on the floorboard. Cut out the holes: the diameter of the holes must be 10 mm wider than the diameter of the pipes. This flooring is compatible with underfloor heating and cooling systems provided that the heated floor temperature does not exceed 28 C. Consider saving a few planks from the same batch number for any potential further repairs. Planks should be installed with their length parallel to the incoming sunlight. 6. Maintenance Usage precautions: To keep your floor in good condition, it is important to place doormats at all entrances to eliminate abrasive particles driven by footwear (gravel, pebbles,...). Use plastic or felt protector pads under the feet of furniture items or under other heavy objects. Do not use rubber carpets. Floor washing: Vacuum or wet mop. Solution of clean water and mild detergent or domestic floor cleaning emulsion. Rinse thoroughly and soak up residual water. NB: the floor can feel more slippery when becoming wet. Spots, marks and spillages should be wiped up as soon as possible. Tough stains: diluted liquid bleach, white spirit, ethyl alcohol or lemon juice. Grease, pen: rub lightly with a cloth soaked in white spirit. Rinse thoroughly.

5 Installation instructions and maintenance PureLoc (4/4) Maintenance protections: Do not use acetone or chlorinated solvents. Never use wax or varnish coating. Plank replacement: It is possible to repair minor damage simply by using mastic. For more substantial damage, you should replace the damaged plank. Use a cutter blade to cut the plank into several pieces. Then remove the pieces starting from the middle to avoid damaging the edges. Take a plank of the same size. Place the tongue under the other planks and tap it with a rubber mallet. 7. Guarantee for first user PureLoc planks are guaranteed under normal conditions of use against any manufacturing defects from their date of purchase to the original customer. Installation onto underlay is not included in this guarantee. This guarantee covers all abnormal degradation of this product, given that PureLoc planks are installed and maintained in accordance with the instructions provided. This guarantee covers the replacement of PureLoc planks determined as defective with equivalent- or similarquality PureLoc planks from the product line existing at the time of the claim. This guarantee does not involve a financial reimbursement under any circumstances or costs of removal or installation. This guarantee does not cover: Normal wear and tear Any mechanical damage or other alteration caused by use not in accordance with the BerryAlloc installation instructions The occurrence of accidents, misuse or abuse Damage caused by using incorrect cleaning methods or unsuitable detergents Damage due to heavy chairs or furniture: it is recommended that you use felt pads under chairs and furniture to reduce the possibility of surface scratching and marking Damage due to sand or grit: it is recommended to use doormats on the inside and outside of all external doorways to prevent grit from being carried around across the floor Damage due to scratching For more information please consult
