4 Class Descriptions BUSINESS MAIL 101 Sandy McMath, U.S. Postal Service Are you new to the mailing industry? Would you like to start preparing your own mailings to save your business money? Do all the forms, guidelines and acronyms have you confused with this business sharing program? Sandy will be on hand to give a hands on step by step class on what it takes to prepare a commercial business mailing from application to acceptance. COMMUNICATION CHAOS CURE Will Wooten and Paul Larimore, Shelter Insurance We spend most of our lives communicating with other people. Seldom do we stop to wonder if our communication is effective. Do we say what we mean to say? Every relationship in our life is affected by our communication; personal, business, casual and serious. All of our relationships are made better or worse by our communication. In Communication Chaos Cure we will expose the common, and sometimes forgotten, delicate balance between our non-verbal and verbal communication. We will examine aspects of conscious and sub-conscious communication including space, appearance, posture, gesture, voice, facial expression, eye contact, touch and even silence. We will leave with a greater awareness of ourselves, as well as others, and learn how to match our non-verbal communication with our verbal communication. Since 93% of what we communicate is non-verbal, it is critical we sync the words we choose with our non-verbal cues. Come and discover how to communicate with more confidence, control conversations, command attention, persuade and influence others in a positive way.
