10 Keynote Speakers Jacqueline Krage Strako Jacqueline (Jakki) Krage Strako was named Vice President, Area Operations, Great Lakes Area, in February She is the senior postal official in a 201,824 squaremile geographic territory that encompasses all of Michigan, and most of Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and part of Missouri. She is responsible for managing ongoing postal programs and operations, overseeing the development and implementation of strategies to increase productivity and revenue, and identifying current and potential operational opportunities to develop long-range strategic initiatives. Her responsibilities include oversight of annual operating revenue of $11.2 billion and a workforce of just over 69,000 that serves 36 million customers and 17.2 million addresses. She reports to the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President. Prior to her current role, Krage Strako served as Manager, Operations Support for the Great Lakes Area. In that capacity she oversaw distribution networks, in-plant support, maintenance support and delivery programs support, including 40 mail processing plants and more than 3,800 delivery and retail units. She began her postal career in 1989 as an Industrial Engineer at Postal Headquarters in Washington, D.C., eventually becoming an Industrial Field Engineer. She has been a Budget/Financial Analyst at the district level in Illinois and an Area Quality Specialist. Leveraging her operational and financial experience, she became the Budget Manager and then was promoted to Finance Manager for the Great Lakes Area. She also helped establish the Postal Service s internal control group while on assignment to the Chief Financial Officer. Krage Strako has been the recipient of two Vice President Awards, a Chief Operating Officer Award and a Postmaster General Award. Krage Strako is a graduate of the University of Iowa where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering. As well as DePaul University, where she received her Masters of Business Administration with a specialty in Finance. She also completed executive certificate programs in financial management, strategy and organization at Stanford University. She also holds a Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt certification.

11 Keynote Speakers David F. Martin David F. Martin was named District Manager and Lead Executive for the Gateway Performance Cluster in June, In this position, he has administrative accountability and operational oversight for the processing and delivery of mail to more than 1.8 million addresses across Central and Northeastern Missouri and all of Southern Illinois. He is responsible for 738 postal offices, a processing and distribution center, two processing and distribution facilities, and approximately 10,000 career employees. Martin joined the Postal Service in 1979 as a letter carrier in Santa Monica, CA. During his career with the Postal Service, he advanced through positions of increasing responsibility including Postmaster, Dallas, Texas; District Manager, Albuquerque; and District Manager of the Lakeland District in Wisconsin. A Phoenix, Arizona, native, Martin is a Marine Corps veteran and a graduate of the Postal Service s Advance Leadership Program. He earned a MBA from Arizona State University and an undergraduate degree in business from Western International University. He and his wife, Joanne, have five children. David Pina David Pina is the Sales Education Manager for Milford, CT-based Neopost USA, a leading creator of business solutions for the postal and related digital communications world. Mr. Pina trains and helps develop the company s nationwide sales organization composed of more than 400 sales professionals. Mr. Pina has been involved in the mailing industry for 26 years as a sales consultant, sales manager, sales trainer and mail management consultant. He is renowned as a lecturer, motivator and author having trained thousands of managers, conducted motivational lectures for Fortune 500 companies and lead mail management seminars for business mailers from coast to coast. Mr. Pina s seminar titled Mail Management Seminar has won the Industry Choice Award from the Mail Systems Management Association as the best educational training program in America. Mr. Pina has also written articles for trade journals and is co-author of The Complete Reference to Postal Education. Mr. Pina received his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
