Parent Reports - After every 6 week period, parents will receive a parent report indicating their child s progress with the grade level Common Core Standards in reading and math. Week 15 Lit 1, 2, 3 & 7 Student will ask and answer questions about key details, review sequencing and getting meaning from illustrations through winterrelated activities. Week 16 Informational 6 Student will distinguish between information provided with illustrations and the text and make appropriate predictions. Week 17 Literature 3 and 7 Student will describe the setting in a story using key details and illustrations.. Week 18 Literature 3 and 7 Students will focus on the story element of identifying characters and begin to examine character traits. Type WEEK to enter text STANDARD INSTRUCTIONAL PLAN Week 13 OA.1 Student will learn all the ways to subtract from a number; subtract to compare Week 14 OA.1,3,5,6 Addition strategies. Student will count on a number; use a number line to count, and add two numbers that are the same. Week 15 OA.1,3,5 Student will practice addition strategies. Week 16 OA.1, 4 Student will represent and solve problems i n v o l v i n g s u b t r a c t i o n a n d a p p l y i n g properties of subtraction. Week 17 OA.1, 2 Students will continue to solve subtraction problems using the commutative property. Ex. if 4+2=6 then 6-4=2 Week 18 OA.1, 2 Students will work with addition and subtraction equations and word problems through 10. OA = Operations and Algebraic Thinking

Week 19 1.OA.3, 5 Students will work with addition and subtraction equations up to 12. Week 20 Lit 5 Explain major differences between books that tell stories and books that give information - fact vs. fiction Week 20 1.OA.2, 6 Students will apply strategies to add and subtract using things such as: counting on, adding 3 numbers (2+5+5=12) Week 21 Lit 3 and Lit 6 Students will describe characters using key details in the story and begin to identify who is telling the story throughout the text. Week 22 Lit 7 Students will begin to draw conclusions using illustrations and details in the story to describe its events. Week 21 1.OA.1, 6 Students will continue working and understanding the relationship between addition and subtraction. Fact families Week 22 1.OA.1, 8 Students will begin to determining the unknown number in an addition or subtraction equation. Ex. 8+?=11, 10-?=4 Week 23 Info 3 Students will begin to categorize and classify connections in their reading. Ex. events, ideas, individuals, or pieces of information. Week 23 Measurement and Data 1.MD.4 Students will organize and interpret data with graphs and tables. Week 24 Lit 1 and Info 3, 10 Students will practice asking and answering questions about key details in a story with more work in categorization and classifying from a nonfiction text. Week 26 Lit Standard 5 Students will be able to identify text that is fact and text that is fantasy/fiction. Week 27 Lit Standard 3 Students will describe characters, settings, and major events in a story, using key details. This week will focus on cause & effect. Week 28 Lit Standard 9 Students will identify the cause and effect through the inferencing of picture clues and background knowledge in a text Week 29 Lit Standard 9 Students will identify the cause and effect through the inferencing of picture clues and background knowledge in a text Week 25 Measurement and Data 1.MD.4 Students will organize and continue to interpret data with graphs, and tally marks for creating their own tables.
