They include requirements in company and site health, safety and environmental plans, quality assurance documents, job plans, and contract work and reporting documents. Contract specifications include plans, diagrams, and special technical conditions. They do not include special administrative conditions. Material supplier instructions may include specifications, storage, installation, handling, instructions for use, and material safety data sheets.

3 3 of 5 Elements and Performance Criteria element 1 Demonstrate knowledge of the installation of RPMs. 1.1 Specifications for RPM installation are described in accordance with Transit New Zealand specifications and Manual of Traffic Signs and Markings, Part II. type identification, approval, placement. 1.2 Personal safety for RPM installation is described in accordance with company requirements. 1.3 The installation of RPMs is described in terms of process controls in accordance with material supplier instructions. element 2 Prepare for installation of RPMs. 2.1 Raised pavement marker equipment and materials are loaded and secured on transport vehicle in accordance with company requirements. includes but is not limited to RPMs, adhesive, RPM removal equipment. 2.2 Personal protective equipment is selected and fitted in accordance with material supplier instructions and company requirements. 2.3 Surface is prepared for application in accordance with material supplier instructions and company requirements. 2.4 Adhesive properties are checked for compatibility with pavement surface and condition in accordance with company requirements.
