6 Lyptus Wood Executive Kitchens offers the renewable wood Lyptus. EcoFriendly Lyptus wood: Lyptus eco-sensitive products from Brazil are known for their workability, machining properties, density, finish ability, overall strength, and exotic appeal. The eucalyptus trees are grown on plantations certified to Brazil s national sustainable forestry standard, CERFLOR. This standard has been recognized by the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC), an international organization that endorses credible sustainable forestry programs. Eucalyptus trees grow quickly and can be harvested within 14 to 16 years of planting. Because these plantation trees are manually pruned during their growing years, logs coming into the mill are more uniform and have fewer knots. This in turn results in a high conversion rate of logs to clear lumber. The Lyptus mill uses virtually every portion of the log, converting it not only into lumber and by-products, but also using the residuals as bio-energy to fuel the mill. Solid wood Lyptus doors and drawers are applied to the 3/4 plywood box construction, containing no formaldehyde adhesives.
