2 Our Hopes and Dreams... We are Mollie and Daniel and we are hoping to adopt our first child. We are honored that you would consider us as parents for your child. We admire your strength and courage as you consider an adoption plan for your baby. We have been happily married for six years. We share the same commitment to our faith, our marriage, and our desire to raise a family. After three years of marriage, we started building our family. After a year of trying, we were still childless and sought help from an infertility specialist. We underwent multiple cycles of in vetro fertilization without success. Upon the advice from our doctor, we decided not to continue with the treatments. We felt God was drawing us down another path. We know that adopting a child will be the most amazing blessing. We promise to protect and nurture your child and raise them to be someone you would be proud of. Your child will always know how your gift of love and sacrifice led them to our family. Take comfort in knowing that your child will have a stable and safe home full of laughter and encouragement, will be given every opportunity in life and most importantly, will be loved. We are excited to welcome a child into our home and our hearts and fulfill our dream of becoming parents. Thank you for taking the time to read our family profile. 3 Our values and beliefs as parents... There are so many moments we look forward to as parents. We are eager to be there for the first steps, bedtime stories, visits from the tooth fairy, little league games, birthday parties, graduation and all the other special moments in a child s life. Our faith plays an important role in our life, so we will teach the same morals and values that our parents taught us. We are respectful, hardworking and compassionate toward others, and we will teach our child these same values by modeling them in our daily lives. We will parent with praise, patience and consistency. We want our child to pursue their hopes and dreams. We will encourage them to explore their natural talents and hobbies whether it is in music, sports, dance, etc. We will be actively involved and supportive in all aspects of their life as they grow to become a successful adult. We believe strongly in the benefits of a good education. Both of our parents were teachers and taught us the value of education. We both graduated from college. Our education has allowed us to have professional jobs with good salaries, a comfortable home, drive safe cars, travel, make charitable donations, and sustain the needs and wants of a growing family. We want our child to have a similar educational experience. We are fortunate to have great schools in our community and will encourage and financially support our child as they seek a college education at a school of their choice.

We live in a small town that has the best of both worlds. Our home is in a seemingly rural setting but we are within minutes from our church, a park, a swimming pool, shopping, and restaurants. The elementary school is two miles up the road and has a great playground. We live very close to a larger city which offers the opportunity to attend sporting and cultural events. Our neighborhood is small but has many wonderful families with children of all ages. The quiet, cul-de-sack street is safe for riding bikes and taking walks. The neighborhood is surrounded by a large horse farm. We love visiting with the horses and watching the wildlife around the pond on the farm. Our newly built house is ideal for a growing family. It is a roomy home and has a large yard with plenty of room for a swing set, playing catch and a game of tag. Summer evenings are often spent grilling on our deck, enjoying the screened-in porch, or watching the sun set from the rocking chairs on our front porch.

5 Our family... We met through mutual friends at a church devotional. Our friends knew we would be a good match and had been working for weeks to put us at the same place at the same time. When we started dating, we realized quickly that we had so many things in common: our upbringings, similar hobbies, our family values. Daniel is patient and kind. He is very down to earth. He has a wonderful sense of humor and makes us laugh every day. Daniel has always been good in math and science which led him to an engineering career. He enjoys the challenges of his job but has the needs of our family first on his priority list. Mollie knew from a very early age that she wanted to be a teacher. She loves working with children and has such a giving nature. Not only will she be able to take her child to work when they are school age, but will have holidays and all summer to play outside or go to the park and the swimming pool. Teaching allows her time to focus on her family while continuing a career she loves. We enjoy spending time with each other. We love to travel as much as possible. Summertime means a trip to the beach. In the fall we go to watch Daniel s college team play football. In the winter we like to go skiing with Mollie s brother and sister-in-law. We also enjoy just being at home. We love just hanging out, watching movies, and going on bike rides. We can t wait to include a child in the many things we like to do and to discover new hobbies as a family. Family is an important part of our lives. We have a close relationship with our families, and they are supportive of our plans to adopt a child. We vacation together every summer in Florida and spend holidays, such as Christmas and Thanksgiving, with our extended family. Because both sets of our parents are retired, they are able to visit us often. We are so fortunate that our child will grow up with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins around to shower them with affection. We have been blessed to grow up in close-knit families that love us unconditionally. We are eager to offer this same kind of love to a child.
