1 BenQ PROJECTOR CEILING MOUNT GUIDE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS 1. Follow the instructions in this menu when installing the projector with this bracket. Improper or inadequate installation could cause the projector to fall and injure someone. 2. Make sure the installation is secure enough to bear the weight of all the devices, and also is secure enough to withstand the vibration. 3. Use only the parts provide with the bracket, and any parts (commercially available) that are specified in this manual. 4. Do not modify the bracket or the parts provided with the bracket. 5. Do not use damaged parts. If any parts become damaged, contact your dealer. 6. All bolts and screws must be tightened securely. 7. Make sure not to block any ventilation openings when installing the projector. 8. Do not install the projector in a location that is subject to high levels of dust or humidity. 9. Do not install the projector in a location that is exposed to direct sunlight or in a location that is subject to extreme fluctuations in temperature (such as near an air conditioner). 10. Clean only with a dry cloth. 11. Special techniques and experience are required when installing the projector with this bracket. Contact your dealer to install the projector for you. 12. Once the projector is installed, safety checks should be conducted on a regular basis. 4 INSTALL THE PROJECTOR WITH CEILING BRACKET Overview Whole set diagram Ceiling Mount Device Installation Procedure STEP A Insert U-PLATE into CEILING ADAPTER, and tighten 2 M4 screws (from the bottom) into the screw holes. Then mount the top part to the wall. U-PLATE CEILING ADAPTER M4 screws Ceiling mount screws (These are not included) 4 Install the Projector with Ceiling Bracket

5 STEP B Install the TUBE and the U-PLATE with 2 sets of bolt & nut (TUBE BOLT). NUT x 2 TUBE BOLT x 2 TUBE STEP C Install the PIPE and the TUBE with 2 sets of bolt & nut (L-ADJUST BOLT). NUT x 2 L-ADJUST BOLT x2 PIPE STEP D Install the base-assembly. STEP D1 Install the PIPE-BASE to H-ADJUST ADAPTER with 2 M4 screws. M4 screw H-ADJUST ADAPTER STEP D2 Combine V-ADJUST ADAPTER and PROJECTOR ADAPTER with one set of V-ADJUST BOLT & WASHER & NUT. Then tighten the M4 screws on both sides. 6 STEP E Assemble BASS-ASSEMBLY & PROJECTOR set. STEP E1 Sliding STEP E2 Assembly STEP F Assemble BASE-ASSEMBLY and ceiling mount device with 2 sets of bolt & nut (PIPE BOLT). Two persons are required for the completion of this step. Ceiling mount device NUT BASE-ASSEMBLY PIPE BOLT Installation finished. 6 Adjust the Ceiling Bracket

7 ADJUST THE CEILING BRACKET Height Adjustment 1. Make sure to un-install the projector first. 2. Loosen the 2 sets of nuts connecting to L-ADJUST BOLT. 3. Remove the L-ADJUST BOLT from the PIPE. 4. Determine the correct position in accordance with the height of the screen. The height adjustment ranges between 225mm and 555mm ~ 765mm with a unit of 30 mm. 5. Insert back the L-ADJUST BOLT into PIPE, and then tighten the previous 2 sets of nuts. Maximum Height (non-adjustable) Minimum Height (non-adjustable) Install the Projector with Ceiling Bracket 7

8 Horizontal Angle Adjustment 1. Loosen the 2 sets of screws which are connecting PIPE-BASE and H-ADJUST ADAPTER. 2. Determine the correct horizontal angle in accordance with the direction of the screen. 3. Tighten the previous 2 sets of screws which are connecting PIPE-BASE and ADJUSTING ADAPTER. 4. The total swivel angle is +/-30 degrees. Vertical Angle Adjustment 1. Loosen the 2 sets of screws which are connecting H-ADJUST ADAPTER and PROJECTOR ADAPTER. 2. Determine the correct vertical angle in accordance with the direction of the screen. 3. Tighten the previous 2 sets of screws which are connecting H-ADJUST ADAPTER and PROJECTOR ADAPTER. 4. The total tilt angle adjustment is 5~+15 degrees. 8 Specifications and Drawing
