3 High performance stainless steel long products Outokumpu s global offering includes a wide range of bar and semi-fi nished products. Our bar program includes hexagon, square, fl at, and round bar in a variety of special conditions, as well as high-tensile bar and Prodec range grades optimized for improved machinability with longer tool life and enhanced quality. Outokumpu s semi-fi nished products include slabs, blooms, billets, and ingots. We also offer wire rod in all key shapes hexagon, square, fl at, round, and rebar as well as special grades for demanding environments. 5 A wide range of stainless steel grades Outokumpu is a leader in specialized stainless steel grades. In addition to the most commonly used ferritic and austenitic stainless steels in our Moda, Core, and Supra ranges, we manufacture a wide range of products for applications such as extremely corrosive environments and demanding fastener applications, as well as components machined from bar. Forta range Outokumpu is one of the world s largest producers of duplex stainless steels. Duplex steels offer increased strength and greatly enhanced resistance to stress corrosion cracking. Key products include the low-nickel Forta LDX 2101 and the super duplex Forta SDX 2507, which is designed for demanding applications. Ultra range Ultra 254 SMO provides longer material life in extremely corrosive environments (PRE >27). Dura range Dura 17-4PH is the most widely used precipitation hardening steel. It has high strength and hardness, good corrosion resistance, and is widely used in the aerospace, chemical, oil and gas, food processing, paper, and general metalworking industries. Therma range The Therma range comprises high-temperature austenitic grades designed for temperatures exceeding 550 C/1020 F. Therma 310S/4845 can be used at temperatures up to 1050 C/1920 F, while Therma 253 MA is best employed in temperatures up to 1150 C/2100 F. Prodec range Prodec stainless steel products are optimized for improved machinability, resulting in longer tool life and enhanced quality. Key products include Prodec 304L/4307 and Prodec 316L/4404. 7 Outokumpu bars are produced in all key shapes and grades, and have consistently high quality, including surface, straightness, and chemical composition. We meet all relevant standards and also have NORSOK certification for select grades. Conditions Our bar is available in a wide range of conditions including cold drawn, peeled, rough turned, and black bar. Prodec grades The Prodec range comprises stainless steel grades that are optimized for consistently superior machinability, enabling faster machining speed, longer tool life, and enhanced quality. Extensive technical knowledge and our end-to-end production chain enables us to optimize the material s machinability properties through all steps of the process. Unlike typical grades optimized for machinability, Prodec products have similar corrosion resistance to conventionally produced stainless steel grades. High-tensile bar High-tensile bars are used to manufacture components for high pressure applications. Outokumpu high-tensile bar allows for strong, corrosion-resistant, and lightweight parts, saving on both material and transport costs. We produce our high-tensile bar in hexagon, square, flat, and round. 7

Our grade offering covers a wide range of ferritic, austenitic, martensitic, heat resistant, duplex, and precipitation hardening stainless steels. 11 Semi-finished products Rebar Outokumpu stainless steel rebar is most commonly used for construction projects in areas where chloride-induced corrosion is a risk due to either marine environments or de-icing salts. Using stainless steel rebar in these environments not only prolongs the structure s lifetime but also lowers maintenance costs, which in turn reduces total life cycle costs. Our expert research on the critical chloride threshold level of rebar, and predictive modeling of chloride diffusion means we can offer invaluable support in identifying where to use our rebar and which alloy to specify. Stainless steel rebar is also used in buildings designed to have very long service lives, such as temples or monuments, as well as in equipment that is sensitive to magnetic fields and needs non-magnetic reinforcement. We offer rebar according to BS6744, BS8666, and ASTM A955. Outokumpu s quality assurance scheme is ISO 9001 (2008) certified and we are externally audited by TÜV Nord.
