1 APRIL DRUPAL DEVELOPER DAYS MONTPELLIER, FRANCE The Drupal Developer Days, also known as the Drupal Dev Days or DDD, are an european non-profit event organized by the Drupal community, for the Drupal community. Started in 2010 in Munich, the DDD have travelled through different cities. Szeged, Dublin, Barcelona or Brussels so far. Each year the event moves to a new city and Montpellier (France) is pleased to host the 2015 edition. The event is powered by the Drupal french association.

2 Who should attend the Drupal Developer Days? Drupal Developer Days is not a developer only event. Use this event to learn, connect, meet, share and enjoy time with others. You will be amazed how opened and eclectic the community is. If you are a project manager who wonders about the how/when/who and cares about organization and planning, a site builder with testing skills, a coder or site builder that likes to write documentation, a frontend developer that loves to improve page structures or wants to help implement the cool new style guide for Drupal 8 or work on responsive issues with Drupal.org, a designer that wants to improve user experience or accessibility, in all cases you are welcome to attend! We strongly believe that everyone has something constructive to bring to the table.

4 Something for everyone Drupal Developer Days is a great opportunity to learn and share from the community s greatest talents. We are thrilled to host some of the web s leading knowledge experts from within and outside of the Drupal community. Keynotes The event will have three keynotes from leaders in the web industry. Those keynotes won t all be technical ones and can open your mind about some very interesting subjects. Check the website for the announcement! Tracks Learn the latest about Drupal from the industry s leading experts, module maintainers, or core initiative leaders. Ask questions and learn how you can get involved. Tracks are structured to help guide you to the content that is the best fit for you: Case studies, Development, Devops, Frontend, Performances, Site building. Sessions Sprinting is going to be the red thread of the week but another highlight will happen, as you can read it on the program page, during Thursday, Friday and Saturday, sessions will be given. When you attend a session you can learn or go in depth in a topic. The topics, like the sprint topics, are really broad. Drupal 8 new mechanisms, APIs, best practises, libraries and tools, frontend magic tricks are topic examples that you could hear about. Consult the list of sessions.

5 Something for everyone Sprints This year, the event goes from April 13th to April 19th From Monday to Sunday the sprint rooms will be opened all day long. The main purpose is to contribute to Drupal. Several highly experienced contributors will be in Montpellier for the week and will focus on Drupal Core critical issues in order to bring us closer to Drupal 8.0 release. But that's not all! The great news is that the Drupal community is fantastic and you will also be able to contribute to Drupal ecosystem in a way or another. Indeed, Drupal Core is the main element that you interact with when you use/develop with Drupal but it's only a portion of the options offered to you. Drupal's power also comes from the contrib world, all the modules, themes, and distributions that you can download from Drupal.org. There is more, while the Drupal Developer Days we also contribute to the infrastructure, Drupal.org improvements, frontend, <your topic>. If you want to bring a topic to gather people helping you, you are welcome. Check the topics that are already planned. Bofs BoFs (Birds of a Feather) are free conversations that you can organize by yourself. It's a great opportunity to exchange and share about a topic if, for instance, your session proposal has been declined. The BoFs will be held in a dedicated room and you will propose your conversation on the whiteboard by the entry of the room. You can hold a conversation for as long as you want if a slot right after yours is not used. You just have to respect the clock if a slot is booked ahead of another conversation.

6 Tracks Sessions begin Thursday and continue through Saturday of Drupal Developer Days. Case studies The Case Studies track allows delegates to learn from the experience of others on real Drupal projects, and to see the power of Drupal in action. Development PHP and Drupal are maturing rapidly in the glow of a new approach to collaboration. The Development track will show you how you can leverage evolving tools and processes to increase the efficiency, velocity, and quality of projects. This track will help developers to be up to date with the new release of Drupal, not only on the Drupal island, but demonstrating the best practices and industry standards of the web today. DevOps Five years ago the DevOps movement started with a simple goal - to bridge the gap between the world of developers and operations. Two worlds that could not be more different: Developers who need to push new code and functionality every day. On the other hand, Operations which needs to comply with the requirements of business. By trying to change the culture, establishing and improving automation across the tool-chain, measuring success or failure and sharing the experiences,we are on a good way to improve the outcome for our customers, as well as the team working on a project.

7 Tracks Frontend Frontend development and design is evolving terrifyingly quickly. The line between graphic design, UX design, and development is blurring. New workflows and tools are being developed collaboratively all around the world and we will explore them across this track. We will focus on introducing new tools and techniques to transform and enhance each others workflow, look to the future and share things that excite us. Site Building With Site Building we can achieve and build great sites without needing to code, one thing that Drupal makes special and great. But there are a lot of ways to reach a goal, we willshare the knowledge, and teach each other how to achieve. Are you using a module in really cool ways? With real life examples? Tell everybody about it! And Drupal 8 is on it s way, Core soon will be done. But Contrib is just getting started; some things change, some will be the same. Come and share your plans for your Drupal 8 Modules! Performance Websites performances have recently been reconsidered from optional to imperative in the common opinion, we should deliver the best possible user experience, and from any device, from a desktop PC to the smartphone. The performance of a website has even become one of the criteria that matters for SEO. Discover through this track the different possible techniques in terms of optimization, whether frontend or backend level, applied to Drupal.
