2 Brief Introduction The IX616 Portable Multi-gas Detector Software is required to configure the IX616 Portable Multi-gas Detector( IX616) and data management. 1. Software Installation 1.1. Insert the CD of the software and double click the setup file to start the installation Click Next Input your name and your company name, then click Next The install program automatically creates a folder on the C: drive for the software. You can also click Change to select a different location to save the software and then click Next

3 1.5. The shortcut is installed for current user only in default, and if you want to install shortcut for all users pls select the second option. Then click Next Click Next to install the software to selected location Click Finish to complete the installation. 2. Connecting the IX616 to the computer Connect the IX616 to the computer via the data transfer cable that come with the IX

4 3. Using of the software The software is used to : a. Define all of the settings for the sensors b. Set the user options c. Download datalogs and event logs d. Data checking, analyzing, output to EXCEL file and printing Define of each icon: Open COM: Open the COM port. Close COM: Close the COM port Data Downloads: Downloads the datalogs and event logs to the computer. Modify Parameters: Modify the parameters of the IX616. Output to Excel: Output the datalogs and even logs to an excel file. Data Print: Print the datalogs and eventlogs out. Curve Analysis: Analyze the datalogs and eventlogs in curve. Delete History Data: Delete the history data on IX616 or computer. Exit: Exit the software Data Downloads Click the icon of Data Downloads to download the datalogs and event logs to the computer

5 After downloads all the datalogs and event logs to the computer successfully, it will show a indication window as following: If there is no data on the IX616, it will show a indication window as following: 3.3 Data Checking The user can check the history data on the software by different ways as following: Detector No. Date Detecting Gas Record Type Check by Detector No. Select the check box before Detector No. first, then select the detector no. that you want checking. Then click Review to check the data

6 3.3.2 Check by Date Select the check box before Date first, then select the date range that you want checking. Then click Review to check the data Check by Detecting Gas Select the check box before Detecting Gas first, then select the gas type that you want checking. Then click Review to check the data

7 Check by Record Type 3.4. Analyze the datalogs and event logs in curve The user can analyze the datalogs and event logs in curve as following: - 6 -

8 3.5. Output to Excel Click the icon of Output to Excel to output the data to a Excel file. If there is no data to output to excel file, it will show a indication window as following: - 7 -

Data Print Click the icon of Data Print to print the datalogs and eventlogs out Delete Records Delete History Records Click the icon of Delete History Records to delete the history records on the computer Delete Records Click Option then select Delete Records, it will delete all the datalogs and event logs on the IX

10 3.8. Modify Parameters Click the icon of Modify Parameters to open the window of modification of parameters. There are two part of the Modify Parameter window, one part of Public Parameter and another part of Parameter of each sensor channel. Note: Read: Read out present setting. Setup: Save and setup the modification Modify Public Parameters Pls select the check box before the item that you want to modify first Modify Date and Time Select the check box before the item that you want to change, then input right data and click Setup Modify Contrast Select the check box before the item of Contrast, and then select the contrast of the display that you prefer. Note that the value should between 0 and 20, and then click Setup Modify Profiles Select the check box before the item of Profiles and then select the alarm type that you prefer, and - 9 -

11 then click Setup Modify of Backlight Time Select the check box before the item of Backlight Time, and then select the backlight time of the display that you prefer. Note that the value should between 0 and 50, and then click Setup Modify of Interval of Log Select the check box before the item of Interval of Log, and then select the Interval of Log that you prefer. Note that the value should between 0 and 10, and then click Setup Closed Sensor User can close the sensor channel by select the check box before each channel number and then click Setup Turn off Auto-zero Calibration User can turn off the function of auto-zero calibration by select the check box before the item of Turn off Auto-zero Calibration and then click Setup. If the function of auto-zero calibration is open, the IX616 will do zero calibration automatically when power on. Note that it is very dangerous if you power the IX616 on in dangerous area with gas with the function of auto-zero calibration open. So, it is highly suggested to turn off the auto-zero calibration function Modify Parameter of each sensor channel User can modify the calibration gas concentration, low alarm level and high alarm level of each sensor channel by selecting the check box of each item and then click Setup Channel 1 Oxygen

13 Channel 4 COMB(Combustible Gas) The Adjusting Concentration of the channel of COMB can only between 20.0 and The Low alarm level of COMB should between 10.0 and The high alarm level of COMB should between 25.0 to Input and Output Calibration File User can replace sensor of IX616 without calibration by input and output of the calibration file via the software Input Calibration File If the user want to replace the sensor, the manufacturer will send new sensor with calibration file to the user, and user just should replace the sensor and input the calibration file of this sensor. Then the IX616 can work with this new sensor without calibration

14 Procedure of replace new sensor: a. Install the new sensor to the IX616. b. Connect the IX616 to the computer and open the software. c. Click Input Calibration File d. Select and open the calibration file provided by the manufacturer. e. The calibration file will be input to the IX616 successfully. f. Then the IX616 can work well with the new sensor Output Calibration File User can also output the calibration file of sensor on IX616 for saving or change the sensor to other unit. For example, if the user want to change the Oxygen sensor of one IX616 to another, he can output the calibration file of the Oxygen sensor first. Then install the Oxygen sensor to another IX616, and at last input the output calibration file to the new IX616. In this way, the Oxygen sensor can work well on another unit without calibration

15 Procedure of output calibration file: a. Click Output Calibration File. b. Select the target sensor that you want to output the calibration file, and click OK. c. Select the location that you want to save the calibration file. e. Then the calibration file will be output successfully
